A/N: Hey so, just a heads up, I think the next few chapters will be quite short. And thanks for the support, hope you're all liking it so far!

Ashton's PoV
Sometimes I felt like the whole damn world is laughing at me. I mean, I finally mustered up enough courage to tell Jade that I really, really liked her, only to discover she has a boyfriend, who, according to EVERY FUCKING PERSON IN THE WORLD, she loves with her every fibre.
HOW DID I NOT KNOW! How did I not know anything, a single thing, about Jade being in a relationship! It was driving me mental! I googled Sam (like any sane and normal person would when they fancy someone, I assure you) and it couldn't have been any more obvious who was dating. God, and he was a dancer? He looks like such a tool, but he dances? How am I supposed to compare to that? I play the drums, big whoop, he dances.
What am I saying? He dances, big whoop. I play the drums.
I heard Luke shut off the water to the shower, so I immediately deleted the safari page off of my phone.
"Hey, so what do you want to do today?" Luke called through, drying himself off. It was already two in the afternoon, and we had all slept in till twelve. Last night was a late one.
"I don't know, weren't we supposed to go to a tour meeting?" I replied.
"Nah, Liam called and told me plans had changed."
Huh, weird. This was a crucial meeting to the tour. Why would they just cancel? Has something happened?
I unlocked my phone, and dialled Niall. He picked the phone up straight away, which was slightly strange.
"Hello? Perrie?" he asked, hurriedly.
I narrowed my eyebrows. "No, it's a Ashton. Didn't you read the caller I.D?"
"Sorry man, I'm expecting a call from Perrie" he apologised, exhaling.
"I gathered. Why?"
For a while there was a long pause, and I thought he had hung up. Then, I heard him draw in a deep breath.
"Listen, I can't explain it properly over the phone. Stop by Perrie and Jade's apartment, with the the others. We'll be there soon too. I'll text you their address" he told me.
"Explain what Niall? What's happened?" I was beginning to get really worried. I saw Luke out the corner of my eye, rubbing his hair with a towel, watching me.
What's going on? He mouthed to me. I threw my hands up as if to say beats me.
"It's Jade." I felt my heartbeat stop, my body tensing. Luke approached me, his expression full of concern.
"What about her? She's not hurt is she?"
"At the moment, we're not sure how bad her injuries are. Ash, her boyfriend beat her up. She's traumatised, and hasn't spoken a word all day."
Her boyfriend beat her up. That asshole. That fucking asshole. I'm going to kill him. I really am. I'm going to find him and rip him to pieces.
"Oh my god" I finally spoke. "We'll be there straight away."
I hung up, and turned to Luke. I felt like my whole world had just been flipped upside down.
"Where are we going, Ash?" Calum asked, as he and Michael bounded into the room. As soon as they took one look at my expression, their faces fell.
"What's happened?" Calum asked me.
"It's Jade" I told them, my eyes wide with realisation. "Her dickhead of a boyfriend's attacked her."
They all were shocked. Michael - who had bonded with Jade over obscene hair colours - had tears in his eyes.
"Is she okay?" he demanded.
"I . . . don't know."

We had jumped in the first taxi we found. I handed the taxi driver Niall's directions, and within fifteen minutes we had reached their flat. Under different circumstances, I would of admired the suave looking building. Under different circumstances, I would of been ecstatic at finally going to Jade's home.
We found their room, and knocked on the door. Jesy opened the door to us, and tried her best to smile. She had red puffy eyes, and her mascara was all smudged.
"Hi" she muttered. "She's through their." She gestured to a room, where eight other people had gathered. They all were overlooking the patient, as if she was on her deathbed, and they were the mourners, here to pay their last respects.
We entered in, and I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Somehow, even with her paled skin and the stitches in her cheek, she still managed to look like an angel. Her golden hair lay around her on the white pillow, and her thin lips hung open as she slept. Her breathing sounded slow, and sore. She was bundled up in the duvet, a blanket thrown over the top of her to keep her extra warm.
"Why is she breathing like that?" I asked no one in particular, quietly.
Perrie, who looked like she hadn't slept a wink, wearily lifted the duvet from around her neck, revealing the purple bruising circling her neck. Odd, the bruising was in the shape of . . .
"Oh my God, did he strangle her?" I breathed.
Perrie whimpered, nodding. Zayn held out a hand for her, kissing the top of her knuckles softly.
"What else did he do to her?" I asked, in a hushed voice as not to wake her.
Leigh-Anne, who too looked pale, turned to me.
"Other than countless bruises and cuts, she has three cracked ribs and all the knuckles on her right hand are broken" she answered.
I felt sick, I really did. My head was pounding and I was dizzy.
"There's one good thing; if her knuckles are broken then we know she must've punched him pretty hard" Harry exclaimed. It wasn't intended as a joke at all, we all knew it was a positive point.
Suddenly, Jade stirred. She was murmuring something under her breath, until her voice grew louder. It was clear to is all that she was panicking, and started to thrash around.
"Get off me!" she was screaming, in her broken voice. "I'm sorry! Please, don't hurt me!" Tears started to fall from Perrie's face as she attempted to calm Jade down. It merely distressed her more.
"Please, don't hurt me! Please, don't hurt me!" she continued to beg, fighting Perrie off. She was still asleep.
Harry and Liam intervened, helping to calm Jade whilst Zayn held Perrie as she broke down.
"Why would anyone hurt her?" she sobbed, her face buried in Zayn's chest. "Why would anyone do something like this, to Jade of all people!"

It was 3 o'clock. We had all dispersed around the house. Jesy and Leigh-Anne were sat with Louis, Niall and Calum around the island in the kitchen. Michael, me, Harry, Liam and Zayn all were sat in the living room, in silence. Perrie remained by Jade's side.
"She hasn't slept in twenty-eight hours" Zayn stated. He truly was worried about his fiancé, who had taken it upon herself to watch over Jade, refusing to leave.
"She's been sat there, in that damn chair, for twelve hours. Convincing herself that this is all her fault. It's eating her up."
I glanced back at Perrie, who was crying again, clutching Jade's good hand, apologising over and over under her breath. It was heartbreaking to watch.
Zayn saw too, and tears formed in his eyes. He shot up, and rushed to Perrie's side. He tried to lead her away, gently, out of the chair and into the kitchen. She was adamant that she stayed right where she was.
"She needs me!" she exclaimed, quietly. "I have to stay here, Zayn!"
"Darling, you need rest! You need sleep!" Zayn begged. I could tell this was hard for him, seeing both his friend and fiancé in total agony.
"I don't need rest, I'm fine! What I need is to be able to care for my Jadey!"
"And you are! I'm just trying to care for the love of my life the only way I know how! Please, Perrie, come and get some sleep! Leigh-Anne, or Jesy, or one of the boys can watch over Jade!"
Perrie pulled herself free from Zayn's hands, tears streaming down her face. "Let me stay here, Zayn! Let me look after my - "
Suddenly, Jade shot up, looking around the room with wide eyes. She was like a deer caught in some headlights. She locked eyes with Perrie, who had immediately knelt down by her side.
"Everywhere hurts, Perrie" sobbed Jade, droplets of water fell from her eyes.
"I know, Poopy, I know" Perrie replied, in a soothing tone, stroking her cheek.
"My heart, it hurts so much."
