"Dang... What happened to you Taehyung?" Jungkook asked as he saw his best friend. Kim Taehyung was one of his best men, and his best friend. "Shut the fuck up" His bestfriend closed his eyes, as he took off the leopard print jacket he got. Jungkook laughed as Taehyung just glared at him. "Like seriously though. What happened?" Jungkook sat next to him on the couch in the hotel lobby. Taehyung sighed. "It's a long story" He buried his face in his hands. "Then summarize it, idiot" Jungkook clicked his tongue, his best friend just closed his eyes and sighed again.
"Road trip. Met someone who's incredibly annoying. We ate together. We slept together-"
"YOU GUYS SLEPT TOGETHER?!" Jungkook raised his voice, which made Taehyung jump a little. "No. Not like that.. We both realized that it was a long trip ahead. So we stopped at a motel, we never did anything." Taehyung rolled his eyes. Jungkook wiggled his eyebrows, as if he wasn't believing his friend. "Yeah. And maybe... I just miss her" He exhaled and took a deep breath. Jungkook froze in silence. Did he hear that right? His best friend who is known to be workaholic and isn't interested in romance, just fell in love.
"I know, it sounds fucking ridiculous. But like you said, that love feels like warmth and comfort. And that's what I felt.." Taehyung stood up as he grabbed the leopard jacket. "I'm not leaving this. She bought me this, and I really treasure this ugly piece of clothing" Taehyung walked towards the elevator, as Jungkook followed him. "Wait.. Does that mean you don't have her contact number?" Jungkook asked in disbelief, Taehyung stepped inside the elevator with him, shaked his head. "That's so tough holy fuck" Jungkook dramatically gasped as Taehyung pursed his lips as he nodded in agreement. "I didn't even bother asking for her full name" He whispered to Jungkook.
"Anyways. Tomorrow is the wedding..?" Taehyung changed the topic. Jungkook smiled like a complete idiot. "Yeah, and tomorrow is gonna be the best day of my life". Taehyung was proud of him, as he knew that Jungkook really really loved her. "Is Yoongi gonna attend?" Taehyung asked as the elevator dinged. "Sadly, No. He's still in France, and his flight isn't gonna make it." Jungkook sighed as Taehyung nodded. They walked towards the hotel room.
"Go change yourself. You look dumb" Jungkook laughed as he looked at Taehyung with a stained white shirt and some crusty looking shorts. Taehyung rolled his eyes as he went into the bathroom to take a shower. Jungkook sat on the bed. He suddenly received a phone call. He smiled widely since it was from his soon-to-be wife. "Jungkook can we talk?" his fiancé asked him. "Sure" He smiled as he walked towards the balcony, and just admired the night sight of the city. The beautiful lights of the city was something he imagined in those fictional movies. "I don't think it will work out"
Suddenly.. Time stopped, those few words, he felt like his heart was cracking into millions of pieces. He awkwardly chuckled. "That's a nice joke sweetheart." He kept his fingers crossed, wishing it to be just a mere joke. "I'm really sorry Jungkook.. I can't do it. It's so sudden.." He heard her sobbed for a few moments. He was on the verge of crying. "Do you want me to move the date? If you want. I can do it!" Jungkook's voice was cracking. "I'm so sorry. I can't feel the spark anymore." Jungkook suddenly cuts off the call as he rushes towards the door.
"What's wrong?" Taehyung asked why he was in a hurry, with tears slowly forming in his eyes. He ignored him and continued running. He knocked on her hotel door and she opened it. Jungkook looked at her, it looked like she was just crying a few seconds ago. "I'm so sorry Jungkook.. I can't do it. We're not meant to be." She sobbed as Jungkook just silently stood in front of her. Both of them were crying. "Okay..." Jungkook exhaled as he held his tears back. "I'm really really sorry. I can't find happiness with you anymore... I really hope you find someone who will love you, more than I loved you" She was sobbing.
Jungkook never felt more empty than before. He bit his tongue, as he kneeled and kissed her hand. "If that's what you want.. I can't let you go" He said clearly hurt as he wiped his tears away. "We can start again.. Please..?" He looked at her with such pleading eyes. But the odds were against him, she didn't get persuaded. "I'm really sorry Jungkook. We can't work it out. No matter how much I try to work it out. It just disappeared."
"Disappeared what?" He stuttered.
"My love for you"
Twelve letters, four words, and one simple sentence, could hurt someone so badly. He stood up and looked into her eyes. "I'm really sorry. I don't want to embarrass you by saying. no in the wedding, or running away. I'm so sorry. But we're over" She apologized to Jungkook. He looked at her with disbelief. "W-What..?" His voice cracked as tears formed around his eyes. She suddenly ran towards the elevator, and before Jungkook could catch up to her, the elevator door quickly closed. Jungkook immediately went to the stairs, to catch up to her. Never in his life, he ran so fast just to catch up to her.
When he arrived at the hotel lobby, she was nowhere to be found, he then saw a glimpse of her running on the streets. "Jungkook!" Taehyung raised his voice to catch up to his friend, but Jungkook ignored him. His best friend ran out of the hotel. Taehyung sighed as he followed. But he couldn't catch up to him.
Goddamn it. Why do you have to run so fast
He grabbed his phone as he dialed a number. "Hello?" The other line answered him, "Jungkook ran out of the hotel. I don't know why!" Taehyung ran outside looking and sounding so worried. "I think he had a fight with her! I saw him running after her." He added, the other line sighed in disappointment as he just hummed as an answer. "Okay.. I'll contact everyone.. I feel like this wedding is gonna get cancelled" The other line told him, as Taehyung immediately hung up to find him, but the rain started pouring.
"Please... Where are you..." Jungkook whispered to himself, as the rain poured and he didn't have an umbrella. His clothes were wet since the rain was pouring so hard. "She hates the rain." He mumbled to himself, after minutes of running around in the rain. Jungkook mumbled to himself, as tears started falling on his face. He was sobbing so loudly to the point where other people started to judge him, but he didn't care, from sobbing so much, his knees grew weaker as seconds went by, he knelt to the ground as he wailed so much. He really did love her.
"Why... Why? WHY?!" He was slowly turning insane, he felt like he just wanted to stand in the middle of the streets. And just be hit by a truck. As the rain started getting heavier, he was shouting the word 'why' over and over again, as his throat started getting drier, to the point it hurts to speak. He was just sobbing on the ground.
"Stand up" The rain stopped pouring on him, he turned around to see a woman standing, holding an umbrella on top of him, while wearing a cute Yoda raincoat. He squinted and she was about 172cm tall. Her blank face was staring into his soul. "Didn't you hear me? I said get up" She furrowed her brows as her sharp tongue hissed at her. He didn't listen to her, and curled up into a fetus position. "Leave me alone." He muttered loud enough for her to hear. "If you're gonna be dramatic. Go do it somewhere else. You're scaring my customers away." She spoke emptily. With no such emotions on her. Jungkook never saw someone like this. He turned around, and as the light of the car, lit her up. He finally got a good look at her. Even with her dorky Yoda raincoat. He realized how pretty she was.
Possibly too pretty to be even real. He looked up on her, even with her blank face. There was this aura around her, like she was a fairy and an angel. "Did you hear me? Oh my gosh.. Please stand up, you're scaring the customers away" She groaned. He still didn't listen to her. As much as he hates to say it, he was too busy staring at her face. She rolled her eyes. "Must be mute and deaf" She scoffed. "You can have this." Before she walks away she gives the umbrella to Jungkook. She turned her back on him, as she entered a café just a few steps away from him.
