Tzuyu looked into his eyes, as he smoothly walked towards the counter, not soon after Taehyung came in, the other's completely forgot about the two. Jungkook softly smiled, whilst the younger one knew what he was doing. Jungkook leaned on the counter, and continued to smile. Tzuyu stared at him blankly, and did whatever she usually does. Jungkook continued to stare at what she's doing. "Aren't you getting bored of wiping those mugs?" Jungkook asked.
"No" She asked without looking away as she organised everything perfectly. Jungkook looked at the menu while fidgeting around. "So is this cafe dog safe?" He asked again, just trying to spark a conversation.
"Obviously." She answered again.
"Can I bring a cat?"
"We don't mind, but I suggest you don't. Cats and Dogs don't really get along."
"That's just a stereotype."
"Then bring one. We really don't mind at all."Jungkook closed his eyes as he bit his tongue, he was really trying his best to talk to her but no matter how many times he tried to change the topic, she wasn't bugging. He rested his elbow as he leaned back on the counter. Something felt off about her. It wasn't that long when she used to be the one sparking up their conversation. He closed his eyes to think about what he had done wrong. Apparently this is how girls act, when they're mad. He grunted and facepalmed as he massaged his temple.
THINK JUNGKOOK! THINK!
He grunted once more. From thinking too much, his head started to get hurt. He opened his eyes, and as he turned around, he suddenly jumped from surprise. It was her. Her sharp gaze was staring right into his soul. "H-How long have you been there for?" He stuttered. She looked at the wall clock. "From the beginning." She answered. Jungkook felt his heart beating so fast. He exhaled as she still stood there.
"Why are you grunting so hard?" She asked. One simple sentence made him bright, he finally saw an opening to a conversation he was longing for, the side of his lips rose mischievously. "Why do you ask?" He doesn't care, he needs to drag this conversation as much as he can.
"Nothing.. Please don't do it here, do it in the bathroom instead." She told him, a few good seconds passed by. Jungkook widened his eyes in surprise at what she just said. He stepped back and bowed.
"NO! DON'T GET THE WRONG IDEA! IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" He accidentally raised his voice. His face flushed with red, and he completely became a mess. Tzuyu just stared at him. "Okay, I won't get the wrong idea." She told him before leaving to clean the table. As soon as she turned around, Jungkook started hitting himself and cursing himself.
THE PLAN TO START A CONVERSATION!!
He exhaled, and just frowned as he sulked alone. Suddenly Taehyung came in and grabbed Jungkook's arms and grabbed him to go outside. "What?" He asked Taehyung what the hell he was doing. Taehyung didn't answer but dragged him in the car. "Let's go, this place is cursed." He answered him, as he started the car and drove away from the cursed place.
"What curse? Explain" Jungkook was clueless on what he was hearing from him. "They're all witches.." Taehyung grunted as he continued driving. Jungkook leaned on the window as he sighed. "How do you know Sana noona?" The younger one asked out of curiosity. Taehyung rolled his eyes as he 'tsk-ed'.
"No, I don't know her." He sighed. Jungkooked just furrowed his brows. "It looks like she knows you.." He jokingly teased him. "Ah!" The younger one continued to speak. "She's the girl you told me about!" He smiled at him. Taehyung rolled his eyes, he didn't try arguing with him. Jungkook was right of course. "No." He couldn't take up the courage to admit to it. "Oh... Well the world is certainly big afterall." Jungkook laughed jokingly.
It's been a few days since that incident, and Jungkook went to the cafe every single day, whether it was in the morning or during the night. "Why are you here again?" Tzuyu asked him as he returned again. "That's not a nice thing to say to a customer." When he answered her question, Tzuyu slightly nodded her head. "You're right. Sorry about that." She replied. Jungkook didn't even bother to order, She already memorised his usual order. After that small talk, not one of them bothered to open their mouth to speak. Tzuyu didn't mind it at all, however the other one did. And it slightly irritated him.
Another few days have passed, and he still comes in the cafe, but they were talking to each other less and less as days passed. He sighed to himself as he sat at his usual spot, which is also where he sat when he first came here. Tzuyu already knows his order, so they don't need to talk about what order, what size, iced or hot, and she already knows whether it's tea or coffee, tea during the night and coffee during the day . He was ranting to himself as he sipped his coffee. His eyes went towards her to look at her, but he caught her staring at him.
"You saw nothing"
She mouthed at him as he just smiled at her, nodded and gave her a thumbs up. He smiled to himself again, as he left the cafe.
The day after that, as he was driving, he noticed that the cafe was closed. He parallel parked, and stepped out. He walked towards the glass door and peeked. He squinted his eyes, to see it clearer, it was 7:30 in the morning. He was confused about what happened, the fact that he doesn't really know what's going on made him really nervous and anxious about what happened to her. She usually opens around 7:00 in the morning.
"Hey." A voice was heard from his left ear, he flinched and as he turned around to see who whispered into him, it was her. With their faces close, only a few inches apart. His face flushed bright pink. He exhaled. "CAN YOU STOP DOING THAT?!" His voice cracked as he took 5 steps away from her. "Do what?" She was oblivious. Jungkook banged his fist on the cement wall. "STOP JUMPSCARING ME PLEASE" He facepalmed as he calmed himself down, his heart was beating crazy. Tzuyu smiled and rolled her eye
"Also why did you open up so late?" Jungkook asked her as soon as he calmed his heart. Tzuyu sighed. "My unnies are currently gone. Like all have plans. They told me to close it and take a rest" She sighed as she leaned on the wall. Jungkook scratched the back of his head. "Can I still get a coffee?" He asked for her permission. She just gave him a soft smile. "Sure why not? You're the only customer" She giggled, she opened the door for him to step in, they both walked towards the counter. As she wore an apron, and started brewing the usual coffee.
"Where are your unnies anyways?" Jungkook asked as he waited. "Busy with their own shit. Like Nayeon unnie received this new gig, Jeongyeon unnie's dad needs some help, Sana unnie is just gone, and Jihyo unnie's finals are coming in." She said, as she prepared other ingredients. "No Like, I mean... ALL of your unnies. You told me earlier that you have like 8 others?" Jungkook added. Tzuyu's mouth turned into an 'o' shape.
"Well.. There is Momo unnie, but she's currently in Japan, and Mina unnie who's studying in Japan too, Dahyun unnie is currently learning Korean Literature, and Chaeyoung unnie, who's in France, apparently she was invited to accompany someone." Tzuyu said as she prepared his drink for takeout. "This means, staff are running low?" Jungkook asked her. She nodded as she gave him the drink that he ordered.
"Well, can I work here?" Jungkook asked. She froze instantly in her spot. She turned around to look at him and he was serious. Even though he was smiling, Tzuyu can see the dedication in him.
