Track for the Session: Life is Hard by Freddie & The Screamers

Y/N POV:

You and Spike walked along the cobblestone pavement. The cool evening breeze blew your jacket back, showing the side of your tank and a bit of skin through the arm hole. Spike didn't hesitate to notice. His eyes quickly glanced and back up to your face. You turned to face him.

"What?" you said bashfully. Spike tried to hold back his smirk, pushing his hands in his pockets.

"Oh nothing." He turned back facing the road.

"Sure didn't seem like nothing." folding your arms, you stopped walking. Spike had taken a few more steps before turning around. He walked right up to your face, towering over you.

"What was it then?" Spike said, licking his lips. Your eyes followed and jumped up to his eyes again. 'Shit'.

"I asked you." you said, biting the side of your lip. This time Spike's eyes dropped down to your lips. But instead of coming back up, they stayed as he placed his hands on your shoulders.

"You did... didn't you." His thumbs slid inside your jacket collar, slowly pushing it back and over your shoulders.

"Spike-"

"Shh... you wanted to know right?" he said, still easing your jacket off. The minute his thumbs made contact with your skin, you quickly inhaled. Spike leaned down to get his mouth leveled with your ear.

"You have goosebumps." He whispered. His face drifted down the side of your neck, breathing heavily.

"I could... help you warm up." Your chest rose and fell. Neither one of you moved. Who knows how long you stayed like that. Suddenly Spike pulled your jacket back up and stood tall, his arm gesturing towards the bar.

"Alcohol will do that." His eyebrow lifted and he turned, whistling while walking away. 'Damn him, Y/N; what in the actual fuck are you doing?!' You shivered and blinked, slowly regaining your composure, before striding past him. You heard him chuckle behind you as you walked back in Don Julio bar.

"Hey look who's back!" the bartender exclaimed. You pushed a strand of hair behind your ear, slightly embarrassed as everyone turned around to look at you.

"I'm back, haha!" You put your fingers in your ponytail holder. It slid off and you shook your head, letting your hair down. Spike appeared next to you.

"So you found him... again." the bartender said smugly.

"Oh!... So you were looking for me?" Spike couldn't keep the smile off his face. You needed to think fast.

"I mean, who isn't looking for the famous Spike Spiegel? You're a bounty hunting legend, from what people say." You sat down at the bar, crossing your legs. Spike looked you up and down.

"It's a shame, because I don't even know your name, drink girl." Spike pulled out a cigarette, slowly placing it between his lips, not taking his eyes off you. 'Damn him!'

"I'm Y/N. Y/N L/N." you extended your hand. Spike lit his cigarette and placed his lighter on the counter top, still keeping eye contact. Dragging on his cig, he brought his hand to his mouth, pulling it between his fingers; then proceeded to blow smoke in your direction.

"Apparently-" Spike extended his hand "I'm the bounty hunting legend Spike. Pleased to meet you Y/N.... L/N." You quickly inhaled when your hands touched his. 'Damn him!'

Spike POV:

Her skin was so soft. I rubbed my thumb on the back of her hand in small circles. Her eyes stayed locked on mine.
