Track for Chapter: Rush by SEATBELTS

Sorry this is late! I had a busy day at work yesterday and today, which meant I had ZERO time to work on it. Having a normal 9-5 sucks when this is what I love to do! Anyway, enjoy the chapter. It is long and was pretty fun to write.

Spike POV:

Jet and I were standing in the elevator of Spaiders, the biggest casino in the galaxy. You could hear the rowdy music as we passed by floors. The elevator itself was glass, and I was enjoying the view and my cigarette.

"We're not here to gamble, Spike. This is business." Jet mumbled on checking out the casino map.

"Uh-huh."

"And no smoking! Can't you read the sign?" Jet pointed to a no-smoking sign that I no doubt noticed and chose not to pay attention to. I took a long hard drag and put it out on the bottom of my shoe.

"Anything else, mom?" I scoffed out.

"Yeah, there is one other thing. I don't want you playing on any of the tables. Your eyes are too sharp and they'll kick us out." Jet said, walking off the elevator.

"So, why am I here?" I demanded.

"Because you are meeting Y/N, right?" Jet said, smirking.

My jaw dropped. "How'd you-"

"Jeez, Spike, you had the communicator on speaker. You've also been grinning from ear to ear and walking on clouds since yesterday. And I doubt it was my bell peppers and beef that made you that damn happy!" he said, throwing his arms up as he walked away.

I crossed my arms, smiling.

"The food did come out pretty good."

"Pah!" Jet walked towards the slot machines.

I scanned around. 'Okay, she said she'd be wearing a blue dress.' And then my eyes fell on her. She was standing at the bar, laughing at something the woman next to her was saying. The dress was blue alright. It was covered in shimmering sequins all the way down to the floor. The neckline was draped and made her chest look exquisite. 'Wish I could change the color of a handful of those sequins right about now.' But I wasn't ready to walk over just yet. I just wanted to admire her from afar. I'd missed her so much, and I had no idea why.

We had a few drinks, she saved my ass from Asimov, we drank some more, she brought me back to the ship, and... my mind began to wonder. Her lips were so soft. She kissed me like she needed to be loved. I shivered. I wanted that too. I wanted to be loved, and not this one-sided street thing that I had grown accustomed to. I wanted someone who would finally be all mine.

I got lost in my thoughts of her, while watching her. Which must have triggered something, because she looked up and made eye contact. 'You got this Spike.'

Y/N POV:

It had been four days since your fight with Vicious. You were now the one in power and not speaking to him. He'd tried a few times a day to talk to you. He no longer slept in the bed with you, as the couch became his new home.

You were tired of just being some obedient little girl for him to fuck when he was feeling some type of way. Not only was Vicious the only family you had, but he was the only guy you had ever been with. You hadn't had the chance to experience things, and being a member of the syndicate didn't help either.
