Part 45 Arnav is in the EDGE

Tears flowed from Khushi's eyes. For a few seconds, she couldn't understand anything. It was indeed Arnav's voice but Arnav would never have used such an uncultured word on her. She gulped down thinking that. How sweetly he consoled her the last evening after the accident...! He never showed an irritating face no matter what she did... someone should have played with them. Would it be a good idea to share this with Arnav? What if he gets wrath? It will be a good idea to involve Aman in this. He will handle the issue brilliantly. She wiped her tears and her finger touched the recording unknowingly. The recording started playing. Even though she couldn't believe that record she couldn't stand the sentence of Arnav. She stopped the record and turned behind. Her expression became horrified, seeing Ratna standing with a tea tray with an unnamed expression. Khushi turned opposite Ratna and wiped her tears.

Keeping the tray on the table, Ratna headed to Khushi. She turned Khushi to face her. Khushi plastered a fake smile on her face.

*What's that, Khushi?*

Khushi was shocked. Did Ratna hear the recording?

*Nothing Amma...*

Ratna's next stance shook her to the core.

*I have heard it, Khushi...*

Khushi gulped hard.

*Amma... Arnavji would not have spoken like that. Please trust him... he respects me... I know him, Amma* Khushi said spilling tears.

Ratna wiped her cheek.

*But... it was Chotte's voice* she said in a feeble tone.

*Someone would have edited it, Amma...

Ratna hugged Khushi and cried.

*Amma... please, don't cry. Don't you know your son? He is not a man who talks rubbish*

Breaking the hug, Ratna kissed her forehead.

*Beta, I have no doubt. Chotte would never have spoken about you like that... I was in turmoil that how could I make you trust Chotte... but you are trying to make me trust him... I don't know what we could do for you...*

She again hugged Khushi. Khushi smiled with tears.

*I'm so proud of you beta... My Chotte is so lucky to have you in his life.*

Breaking the hug, they smiled at each other. Ratna thought something.

"I know I should not interfere in husband and wife matters but I have to do it now. Please don't mistake me, beta. I guess you guys would not have completed your marriage yet..."

Khushi gulped down not answering.

"If you call me AMMA from your heart, tell me the truth, Khushi..."

Khushi nodded YES bowing down.

"Has Chotte confessed his love for you?" she asked to check whether there can be something beyond her knowledge.

She nodded NO.

"Now... you are going to do what I say." It was an order.

"What Amma?" Khushi asked fearfully.

"You are NOT going to be in your room," Ratna said.

"But why, Amma? I trust him. He would not have spoken about me." She stood for her husband.

"I too don't have doubt in it but I can't let him be like a saint... correction, I can't let him be pretending like a saint." She said sternly.

*But Amma...*

*Khushi beta, please listen to me... Chotte agreed to marry you not for me... not for his father... he married you only because he liked you. After your marriage, I have never seen the disappointment on his face. How long he could be like this...? What's wrong if we give a PUSH? I know he was not wrong... but we can use this opportunity in our favor...*

Ratna dragged Khushi to her room. Taking two bags, she started packing Khushi's stuff. She removed all her stuff from the cupboard and left it unclosed, intentionally Arnav to see.

*Amma...please, listen to me... we should not do this...* Khushi stopped when Ratna called,

"Om Prakash..."

OP came to Arshi's room running.

"Take these bags to the guest room," she ordered.

OP nodded ok and took the bags to the guest room. Khushi sighed in relief. She thought Ratna was sending her to GH.

Ratna again dragged Khushi to the guest room. She made Khushi sit on the bed.

"You should not come out of the room if you trust me."

"Amma... please don't hurt him..." Khushi said pleadingly.

"Listen to me... this is the best chance to know Chotte's Heart. He gets angry if he gets blamed for something which he had not done. Let us see what he does this time. In case, if he comes here, don't talk to him... please..."

Ratna pleaded and Khushi nodded OK sadly. Ratna left the room.

Ratna called Arnav.

*Yes, Mom...*

*Come home... now...*

*Now? Mom... I have an important site visit...*

*I want you to be here in half an hour, Chotte...*

Arnav sensed a difference in her voice.

*Mom... are you alright?*

*No... I'm not...*

*What happened, Mom...?*

*Are you coming or not?* She asked angrily.

*Yup...* Arnav disconnected the call and headed towards the parking lot and got into the car.

*Something must be serious. Mom sounds angry... she never spoke to me like this...* Arnav thought while driving.

RM

Ratna was waiting for Arnav in the living room with Khushi's mobile phone.

Arnav entered RM like a storm as usual. His steps slowed down, seeing Ratna blocking his way wrathfully.

"What happened, Mom?"

"What have you done, Chotte?"

"What I did do?" he frowned.

"What did you say about Khushi to whom?"

Arnav's expression changed. He kept the laptop bag on the couch without taking his eyes from Ratna, with confusion.

"About Khushi...? What did I say about her? To whom?" he asked with commotion.

Ratna played the recording.

Arnav's facial expression changed into many, anger... confusion...disappointment... fear... what not? He looked at Ratna and nodded NO.

"Mom... this is a fake one... someone should have edited my voice with someone. I have not even heard the other voice." He said with agitation.

"But it's your voice... will you say NO?"

"Of course, it's mine...but..."

"Stop it Chotte... Is this the way to talk about your wife?"

"I didn't talk about Khushi, Mom" he exclaimed.

"Do you think I will listen to you?"

"Ok... don't listen... Khushi will listen to me... she will trust my words," he said gritting his teeth.

He galloped on the stairs and entered their room, shouting for Khushi. He was shocked, to see the cupboard empty. There is no Khushi's stuff in the cupboard. His breath ditched his lungs. He felt like the earth slipped from under his feet... he felt like he lost everything... he couldn't believe that Khushi left him... What's there in his life without Khushi...? The only girl who saw his RIGHT SIDE...? The only girl who brought a smile to his face...?
