Chapter 2

"well..this is a big problem."

These words tormented the grounder's head. She can't believe this is happening to her.

Desperate, Echo got up from the landing and began walking nervously. "please tell me there is a cure." The grounder begged to the man.

Gabriel looked up into the sky again. Looking at the sky made him come up with solutions to all his problems.

"the only cure is that you have to go back into the anomaly."

No..Echo can't believe it. This must be a fucking horrible dream. She can't wait 5 years, she has to leave now.

"no Gabriel..no, you don't understand. I have to get into the anomaly now, I can't live with a penis for 5 years."

Gabriel sighed looking at her friend, stood up from the landing and put a hand on her shoulder. "Echo, the anomaly code sheet is ruined. And it's not as horrible as you think." he giggled. "If you have any questions or help, I'm here."

It's not as horrible as you think. The words tormented the grounder's head again.

Whipped and nervous, she took a few steps back and started running towards the forest. By going to the beach, she can finally relax.

The younger girl came out of the hut, looked around and wondered why Echo wasn't there.

"Gabriel, where is Echo?"

Gabriel looked at her, he doesn't know how to tell her that their friend has a penis because of the anomaly. "she went..to take a walk. She was nervous, I don't know why."

Hope worried about the grounder decided to go find her. She went inside the hut to put on her jacket and ran out.

"I'm going to look for her, we'll be back here before sunset."

"Echo has a penis."

Hope suddenly stopped, her mind was confused. She turned to Gabriel in confusion. "a..what?"

Gabriele almost laughed, this girl was so innocent. "Echo will probably kill me for telling you this but I had to tell you. She's our friend and we have to help her."

Hope touched her jacket sleeve nervously. Since she was little, she has always tried to touch something when she was nervous.

"how..how can we help her? and what is a..penis?" She said confusedly.

Gabriel touched his chin, trying not to traumatize the girl.

"that's what we males have. The anomaly has changed her body, the only possible cure is to enter the anomaly again. So she can go back to normal."

Hope had so many questions in her head. As a child, she learned science and anatomy with her family. But they never talked about male anatomy.

"I'll go look for her, you stay here."

Gabriel chuckled, taking the bucket of water and starting to water the plants. "where should I go?"

The grounder was sitting on the beach, listening to the sound of the waves. She was staring at the big green light under the sea, and even if she tried to reach the anomaly, she would drown.

Echo threw a small stone into the sea. "five years here...with a thing between my legs. It can't be worse." She sighed.

Suddenly she hear someone running after her. Branches broken because of footsteps, she could guess it was Hope.

Hope tried to catch her breath and put her hands on her knees. "Echo!" The younger girl did not let the grounder speak and she sat down next to her.
