I got out of bed, lazily walking out of my room. I grabbed my clothes and went to the bathroom. I was ready for school in about five minutes.

"Granpaps! Grandma! I'm going to school!" I yelled from the front door.

No response. They must be asleep. I pulled on my shoes and saw Aoi outside, waiting for me.

"Hey Aoi!" I waved.

"Hey Hana! Your hair looks really pretty today!" She complimented. "So how are you?"

"I'm good, thanks!" I smiled. We talked for a while before meeting up with Kanao. Soon enough, we got to school. We all went to our lockers. I put my bag inside and took out the books we needed for the day. I went back to class and discovered that Aoi and Kanao still weren't finished. I sat down on my chair and. took my phone out of my pocket. I took out my headphones and put them on as I waited for the teacher to get here. When I saw her walking in, I took off my headphones and put them under my desk, in the same place as my books. As usual, Mitsuri-sensei called our names out for register and told us our classes. We had Art first, which wasn't all that bad. I didn't really get to meet the art teacher yet. She also told us we had to choose clubs to join. I'd have to check that out in recess. As soon as Mitsuri-sensei walked out of the class, a tall man walked in. He had uneven, messy white hair with a strand falling in between his thin maroon eyes. I noticed his white headband that fell tilted with pink gemstones and red eye make-up that I found quite well done. He seemed really friendly, which was good news.

"Oh. I see there's a new student here." He said, referring to me.

"Y-Yes, sir. I actually got here last Friday, although I don't believe I've introduced myself yet. My name is Hana Ito. Nice to meet all of you!" I introduced.

"Hmm, interesting." He said.

"Yakara-sensei, what are we going to learn today?" A beautiful girl with silky black hair asked.

"Uh, you are going to make... A painting of your favorite person as an anime character!" He said. Did I hear anime? Yassssss! I loved anime. I decided to draw my mother. I remembered her a little, but I wasn't really sure if I would get this right. I started drawing her step by step.

-----

I finished my drawing and showed it to Tengen-sensei, or as everyone liked to call him, Yakara-sensei.

"Wow, Hana! You're so good at drawing!" Aoi exclaimed. "Who did you draw?"

"My mom. This is the best I can remember. You see, I inherited my hair color and texture from my father, but I inherited my other features from my mom." I explained.

"What? No way. It's impossible you inherited your mother's features if she actually looks pretty. Especially this pretty. Haha!" Zenitsu laughed.

"Zenitsu-" Aoi shouted.

"Meh, it's fine. He's right anyways." I admitted.

"I'm just kidding! Don't you understand jokes?!" He yelled into my ear.

"It's not a joke if it's true." I told him.

"What the hell Hana? I was seriously joking god dammit!" He said.

"Okay, gee. Chill." I sighed.

"Yakara-sensei, I'm done as well." The girl with black hair from earlier said. I looked at her painting to notice a small boy who looked quite similar to her - maybe a relative. It was clear she put effort into her painting. It would take me years to get to her level. She had a unique style in art. The boy in the painting had messy black hair and and happy dark brown eyes. He was wearing a simple white shirt with red stripes on the sleeves. The massive smile on his face emphasized his happiness and optimism. The painting was finished off with a park as the background. It was magnificent. She must love art.
