The Seal

part 1

I'm standing at the edge of a cliff while looking at the beautiful horizon in front of me. Birds flying around, the soothing sound of waves and the water hitting the big rock formations, the cold breeze touching my skin.

Human world is a very interesting realm that I ever been. It's so different from the other realms that I've been to.

Humans are nothing like the citizens of the other realms. They have their own way how to express and how they spend their lives.

Maybe you'll asking who am I? Or what I am? Am I a goblin? A fox fairy? Grim reaper? Alien?

To answer that, I'm nothing but me. I don't belong to those qualifications of things. Am I a deity? No, I'm not.

I'm just a person who live and just passing by wherever I want to. If you'll calculate my existence in human world time, I'm over 800 years old.

I'm just a nobody that can enter different realm and have the power of each realm. I'm staying in this world as my last destination and after that, I'll perish in this world.

I took my phone out in the pocket of my coat as I felt its vibration. "Yes?" I said as soon as I answer the call.

"Ms. Kim, the board meeting will start now. I'll update you after the meeting." It's the CEO of my company. I'm the owner but I never affiliate myself from those things because of many reasons that I have.

First, I'm immortal. I don't want to expose my identity and what am I because humans tend to get scared of any unusual things.

Second, it's been 300 years since the day that someone took care of everything that I have. Mr. Seo, my CEO, his ancestors made promise that they will serve me whatever happens. Every generation, there will be a new descendant of their family that will continue and fulfill their promises.

Third, I spent most of my time studying every human being. How strange that as the time goes by, people change a lot and hard to understand.

"Okay. I'm hanging up now." I ended the call then place my phone back to my pocket. I stare at the beautiful scenery for a while before deciding to go.

It's a beautiful starry night and I'm here sitting on the edge of the rooftop of my building. I look around as I listen to the whispers of people's hearts.

Help me!

I closed my eyes as I ignore the silent plead of a person's heart. I'm not allowed to interfere with the life of humans. I can give them the things that they need, I can give them punishment that they deserve only in this world but I'm not allowed to change their destiny even if I'm able to.

Please! If someone can hear me, help me!

I opened my eyes and teleport myself to this person who needs attention. I walked towards her. She's lying on the ground as she covered in blood.

"Please help me." I bent down and look at her. She's slowly raising her hand to touch me.

"Your life will stop here. I'm not allowed to meddle with human life."

"My child is waiting for me. She's too young." Her voice crack as she try to gasp for some air. She lost too much blood and there's blood coming out from her eyes.

I touch her hand and there I saw how she live in this world. How she treat her child as a mother.

I smirk then let go of her hand. "You humans are really interesting. You realize all your mistakes and all the things you should think when you're about to die."
