Help me! If someone can hear me, please help me!

I slowly open my eyes as I heard that familiar phrase again coming from human's heart. I'm here visiting the Land of Dream when I heard that voice rang inside my head.

I slightly narrow my eyes out of confusion. Perhaps, the reason why I'm confused was, I shouldn't heard the voice of human if I'm not in the Human realm.

There a barrier that control all the realms and this is the first time I ever heard someone from different world.

I decided to leave the Land of Dream and visit this person. When I reached the Human world, I immediately went towards her.

She's on the ground, her eyes are shut and I can see how much she's struggling. I look around and there I saw the grim reaper ready to approach her.

I know I should interfere but there's something unfamiliar inside of me that made me do this decision I just made.

When I saw the truck almost at her, near enough to hit her, I stop the time and slowly walk to approach the girl. I made eye contact with the grim reaper but I ignore it.

I studied the girl and then I realized that she's the daughter of the lady who died 8 years ago. A smile crept into my face. I raised my hand to get an umbrella from the nearby store and use it to cover her.

"You and your mother have the exact words." I stated that made her look at me. When our eyes met, there's a tingling sensation that I felt inside my body that I can't put in proper wordings because, it's the first time I felt it.

I lend her my hand but she hesitated. I offer it again and once our hands touch, I saw everything that happened to her. How she experience the life of not being normal. I decided to take her away from here so I teleported ourselves.

I can feel goosebumps when she snake her arms around my nape when we float in the air but I decided to shrugged it off. Once we're safe, I made the time works again and told her to open her eyes.

"We finally met." I said smilingly that made her confused. "Who..?"

"Kim Jisoo. It's nice to finally meet you Chaeyoung."

She pull herself away from me and the strange thing about it is, I felt disappointed with the sudden lost of contact.

"Who are you? What are you? How did you know my name?"

"You have nothing to be scared of, your fate brought me to you. I know this day will come."

"Are you a psycho?" I crease my eyebrows when she asked that question. Does this girl doesn't know how much blessings she received because we crossed paths?

"I'll pretend that I didn't hear that. C'mon, I'll bring you home." I attempt to hold her hand but she move it away that cause me to look at her curiously.

"Don't touch me. I don't know what you are so don't come near me." I heave a sigh as I look at her eyes directly.

"Your life is now binded to me. No matter how hard you try, we will always cross paths. That's your fate that I once told to your mother."

"How did you know my Mom?"

"I was there when she died." I answered without hesitation. She looks offended of what I said and started to sprint off. I didn't chased her because as I have said, no matter what, our paths will always cross.

"You meddle with someone's life again." My smiling face turn to a blank and stoic expression upon hearing the grim reaper's words. I turned around to face her.

"That human is belong to me. I made that decision 8 years ago so it's my right to protect her." Her blank expression remain so I walk past her.

"You know the consequences of what you did." I stop on my track and look back at her. "You put her life in much more danger. Anytime soon, the voracious deities and spirits will come after her once they found out that she belongs to you."

I clenched my jaw as look at her. She's just a lowly reaper, how dare she threaten me. "Are you threatening me?" I venomously spat and nothing but seriousness in my voice. She walked closer and stand beside me.

"You should keep an eye on her." She then started to walk and left me behind. I took a deep breath to calm myself and composed my mind. I then leave this and went home.

I'm holding a glass of wine while I'm standing on the veranda of my house. I saw a silhouette approaching so I waited for her.

Lisa started to live with me but not for free. She's paying a yearly rental. I told her to just find herself a new house but she said that she doesn't want to be lonely and she promised me that she'll keep me company.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Lisa said by the time she's beside me. I took a sip of my wine before answering her.

"I met her this afternoon. The daughter of the woman who I happened to see 8 years ago."

"So? What about it?" I took a glimpse of her before answering her again.

"She almost died but I saved her. The grim reaper saw it." She's eyeing me confusingly. I know she has knowledge about all the duties of every creatures.

"The grim reaper can't do anything about it. That girl is belong to you so it's your right to protect her."

"Once all the realms knows about her, especially those lowly deities and spirits, they will harm her at all cause." This statement of mine made Lisa stop for a moment.

"Just like what happened 500 years ago?" I didn't say anything after her question. I look nowhere as I recall the memories of my past.

The memory of a person that I failed to protect.

500 years ago, I met a girl in the Water realm. She was just a kid when I first saw her. I watched her as she grew up like a fine lady.

But then, they took her away from me, they torture her hoping to get information about me and use her to bow myself to them because everyone knows that she was mine.

I then took my vengeance to everyone who harmed her. I punished their family and curse their family generation. All the deities are aware of what I did so they punished me by proclaiming that I should not interfere with the lives of anyone.

I should not meddle and affiliate myself to anyone.

After 500 years, once again, I have a new person to protect. I will do everything to keep Chaeyoung safe.
