I'm sitting under the big tree near the lake. My eyes are closed as I feel the air touching my skin. I'm listening to the conversation of the leaves and the chirping of the birds flying around the sky.
I slowly open my eyes when I felt something poking my arms. When our eyes met, she flinched a little and take a step back.
It is a young girl holding a thin branch. People of the Water realm have their own distinguish. Their hair have the combination of blue and white. They have fierce eyes but they are hospitable.
"You're the deities descendant right?" She questioned. I stare at her, studying her features. "So what? Why did you disturb my peace?"
"I'm sorry. I thought you're dead but since you're awake, I'm Mira." She smiled lovingly at me. I don't know what happened but there's something ignite inside me.
"What do you want child?" I nonchalantly asked but then she just scoffed at me then put her arms on her waist.
"Mira. My name is Mira." She's pointing her finger while telling me again her name and made me understand that I should address her with her name.
"What do you want Mira?" I put emphasis when I speak her name.
"I want us to be friends." I stare only at her. Her happy face linger inside of my head and for some reason, it makes me comfortable.
Present time
I'm here walking around the Han River while studying the human interaction. I stop and sat on a bench then studied them again.
When I came first here in the Human realm, there's a farmer who helped me learning things about this world. He's illiterate but manage to tell me about the basics of this world.
He then once told me that he hope that someday, he'll meet someone who can accept him for who he was. He doesn't have family, his parents died so at the young age, he took care of the small farm that his parents left.
That was the first time I help a human. I told him I will make him a better life, in one condition. He will dedicate his life and his next generation family to serve me and keep my secret.
I believe the land is what they called London. I came in London first then after I made him my servant, I travel around the world to find the seal. 200 years ago, I stop here in Korea.
I still have communication from them. Here in Korea, I did the same thing. I blessed a young man then he promised that he will keep my secret and his family in every generation will served me.
"Oh? Kim Jisoo?" I look at the person who called me and I smile instantly. It's Park Chaeyoung.
"Chaeyoung." I offer her the extra space beside me. She sat next to me and give me a curious gaze.
"What are you doing here? Do you live nearby?"
"My house is far from here. I'm here to study."
"Study?" I took a glimpse of her then divert my eyes back to those humans.
"I'm curious about what you call family. Is it necessary for humans to have that? What does it feel to have family?"
"You're asking that because you never had one?" I slowly nod my head as an agreement. I heard her took a loud deep breath so I look at her.
"Family should be like a safe haven. Where you can be comfortable to, who you can trust, who will be there in times of need. But some people don't experience that, they have complicated relationship with their families."
