The Seal

part 9

Chaeyoung's POV

I slowly open my eyes as I groan in pain because my head is throbbing. I adjusted my vision and notice that I'm on top of a building while my hands are tied up behind my back.

"You're finally awake." A raspy manly voice I heard in the surrounding. I saw a man standing not far from me while he's looking in the City full of lights.

I recall what happened, why I ended up here and I found my answer.

I'm on my way at my workplace when there's two man abducted me then knocked me in my head. I felt someone carried me before I went completely unconscious.

The unknown man started to approach me and by the time he's in front of me, he bent down to meet my eyes. I slightly move myself away from him that made him grin.

"Don't worry, I won't kill you unless you tell me where is the seal." I've been in a constant danger because of that seal. Why they always asking me the same question.

"How many of you are looking for that?! I already told them that I don't know where is it."

I think my answer doesn't satisfy him because he suddenly grab my arm forcefully and lift me up. I hiss in pain then he slowly pushed me at the edge of the rooftop.

I started to scream but it looks like he doesn't care at all. "Where is the seal?!" I saw his eyes started to glow in red and his voice become deep and scary.

"I don't know. Please don't kill me!" I replied still scared and in panic. There I remember Jisoo's necklace that she gave to me. I look down but my eyes went wide when I realized that it's not with me.

"Since you're no use of me, I'm going to kill you. The descendant won't be able to protect you because I took off the necklace that she gave you."

I felt everything is in slow motion. How my feet suddenly leave the ground, how my soul left me for a second and how the gravity pulling me down.

I saw him smirk menacingly as I feel myself falling from this building. I'm crying knowing that I'm gonna die. No one can save me right now.

I just accepted my fate that I'm gonna die tonight. I closed my eyes and wait to feel the impact of my body hitting the cold cement.

Jisoo..

But then, instead of the ground, I felt a two slim arms holding me so I open my eyes.

I'm floating while Jisoo is carrying me. There's a color green light glowing around Jisoo and her eyes are flaming green. She slowly look at me.

The glow light started to fade and we're on the ground now but my eyes still fixated at her because I can't believe that she's here. She saved me, again

"Hey, are you okay?" She asked that made me instantly burst in crying. Since my hands are still tied up, I scoot and buried my face on her neck. She tighten her hold to me to make sure I won't fall.

I felt like we're moving. She's walking without saying anything. She slowly put me down and I pulled myself from her when I felt a soft surface hitting my back.

I look around and we're inside a house. It's a huge house that consider a mansion.

"We're at my house. Stay here, I'll get you some water." She untied the rope tying my hands and started to step away but I stop her by grabbing her hand. I'm scared to be alone, I don't want her to leave me.

"Stay. Don't leave me, I'm scared." I softly admitted. She showed me a toothless smile then lean her head and kiss me on my forehead.

"I'll be back, I promise. And you're safe here." She then left me and went to the kitchen. I roam my eyes that was mesmerized how beautiful and classy is Jisoo's house.

Jisoo arrived with a glass of water in her hand. She sat next to me then handed me the glass. I drink the water and place it on the near coffee table.

"Thank you." / "I'm sorry." We both said those words at the same time that made us stare at each other.

"No, don't thank me. I'm the reason why you're always in danger." She said in sincerity and I can feel how sorry she was.

"But you're always there to save me. I need to thank you for that." She didn't reply, she bow her head as I can sense that she's blaming herself.

I reached for her hand and lightly squeeze it. "How did you find me?"

"I heard you calling my name. Since I can't contact you, I thought that something happened to you. I look around to find you."

"He took off the necklace."

"I know. That's why it's hard for me to find you. Fortunately, I can hear your heart calling me. I'm really sorry."

I'm about to say something when there's someone who came in the picture. My eyes went double as soon as I realized who she is.

"Wait a minute, aren't you the one who bought something at my workplace?" She sat on the couch then slowly nod her head.

"Am I interrupting something? I'm Lisa by the way I'm a goblin." I was lost in words upon hearing her identity. That's why she said those words to me when we first met.

"I need to talk to you." Jisoo said to Lisa then diverted her eyes to me. "Take some rest. I'll show you my room. You can spend the night here."

She stood up so I follow her. She open the door of her room and invited me to come in which I oblige. "I'm gonna talk to Lisa. Make yourself comfortable here." She closed the door without hearing anything from me.

I roam my eyes inside her room and it so relaxing and calm. I lay on her bed and close my eyes. Not for long, I felt a hot liquid flowing from my eyes. I'm crying now.

I can't help but to recall the incident happened to me a while ago. I was so scared and traumatized that I actually felt like I'm gonna die. I let myself cry and restrain to release a loud sob from me.

I then feels my eyes gets heavy and I fall asleep.

I woke up by the ray of the sun hitting my face. I rub my eyes and I realized that I'm no longer in Jisoo's room. I'm in my room.

I look around once my vision is clear to find any trace of Jisoo and thinking why I ended up here in my room. Last night I was in Jisoo's house.

I shrugged the thought in my head and decided to make myself a breakfast. I went to the kitchen and took the ingredients I needed to.

"I'll make it right Chaeyoung." I stop for a moment once that sentence flash in my mind. It was Jisoo's voice. I kept recalling what happened but no avail.

"I'm sorry." I felt a tug in my chest because of that word. It's someone's voice. A female voice that's very soothing. What's her name? Ji...

She's Kim Jisoo. Why am I forgetting her name? She's Kim Jisoo, the one who always there to protect me, to make me happy.

"I love you." Another set of tug in my heart I once felt again. I didn't realize that I'm crying right now.

Why am I crying?

Who said that?

"Kim Jisoo. Kim Jisoo." I mumbled repeatedly then I rushed to my room and get a pen and notebook.

"We finally met."

"I'm Kim Jisoo. Nice to finally meet you Chaeyoung."

"Kim Jisoo." I wrote down that name. "She's the woman I love." I keep thinking her face, the way she talks, the way she smile, the way she walk. Everything. I keep her on my mind and trying my best not to forget her.

But suddenly, my mind became blurry. Someone's image fades. The face, the smile every memories I had with this person fade and vanished. I look at the notebook that I'm holding while I'm no clue why am I sobbing. Why am I crying.

I read what's written on the notebook. I don't know why my heart is breaking reading the name on this notebook.

I don't know who she is.

Why I wrote I love her.

"Who's Kim Jisoo?"
