Caught in the cacophony; the discord that is the world
The protestant cries of others slowly hinder my view.
In moments, revolutions, I lose sight of what I'm dreaming
I lose every image of you.
Madness surrounds me, life slips through my fingertips
As the storm takes me, thrown onto a road it deems,
Without my will to account for,
Life is little what it seems.
Whirlwinds, disasters, overtake my world
The teasingly elusive catastrophy that is time
Lets you slip unforseen from the stars,
Leaving a desolute cloud of forgotten grime.
This whirlwind that picks us up and passes us by
Makes life hard to keep hold in our gaze,
But your stars shine all the brighter through the storm
And they will help me find my way.
