A lover's road

Dear lover,

The road that we travel is darkened with black,

It is long and perilous, you must stay on track.

Do not stumble, trip, or fall,

For you might lose sight of it all.

Lose sight of our hands,

Woven together in the light.

Forget what it feels like

To love me with all your might.

So I ask you lover, do not stray from the beaten path

I need you with me in the world's aftermath.

We fight and throw and our road grows dark,

But when the light comes you remain my lark.

We go without speaking, but your always on my mind

The way you should have held on tighter...

The way you stumbled in doubt,

And my heart you once again have to find.

Just remember, I remain on this journey of ours,

Waiting for you to wrap your arms around me

Forever in the stars.
