December 4th
Jihan tried her hardest to avoid all the sickening stares shot by students passing by. She hated being stared at, it's suffocating. Her life is already deprecating as it is, she doesn't need a bunch of eyes staring at her, watching her every move in curiosity. She slammed her locker shut in irritation, startling everybody around her. Her face stayed indifferent, but her tone turned dangerous. "Do you any of you need something?"
"Well- you... No, but-"
"It's uncomfortable being watched so if you don't have anything to say, please leave," Jihan casually untucked her hair from the back of her left ear, covering the slight discoloration on her cheek without making her action too apparent. "I'd really appreciate it"
"Your cheek, Jihan. It's-"
"There's nothing to see here," someone stepped in front of her, their tall figure blocking her view. "Shouldn't you all be studying?"
One of them pointed at her cheek, "But her-"
Wonwoo swatted the student's hand away. "You dare point at her? If her father finds out you pointed a finger at his daughter he'll have it cut off. Now go before I make you"
They all scurried away, walking different directions in what seemed to be panic.
Jihan huffed in amusement. "How nice of you"
He spun around but his eyes didn't meet hers. He stared at her cheek. "So he hit you again. Been a while since he's done that"
Jihan arched a brow. "Who?"
'You know who I'm talking about-"
"It was an accident, now if you're going to spit nonsense then leave," her eyes sent daggers to his body.
Wonwoo didn't care, he only stared.
She rolled her eyes before walking away but a hand clasped her wrist. She looked back in annoyance and forcefully pulled her arm away.
"Your father," Wonwoo said.
Jihan clenched her teeth unknowingly, breath heavy. "Get lost"
"So he did"
"Fuck off" she hissed. "So what if he did?"
"Jihan-"
"Don't pity me," Jihan said with fire in her eyes. "I'm going to destroy him and once I do, feel free to express your worthless pity"
She glared at him once more before leaving, her heels clacking against the marble floor.
"Jihan," Junhui approached, a worried look on his face. "People are talking about how you failed your practice exam- is your face okay?"
Jihan came to a stop. "Those fucking bitches"
"Are you alright?"
"Fine," she replied, rather too quickly to call it sincere. With Junhui's gaze stapled on her cheek, she tucked out strands of hair from behind her ear, covering the slightly discolored patch. "Jihoon did this. Ugly, isn't it?"
Junhui nodded in understanding, "Grades are private, I wonder who leaked yours"
"Whatever" said sighs before walking away with Junhui beside her. "I just hope my father doesn't hear about this. The teacher who leaked my grades might actually lose their job"
Junhui looks at her, confused, "And that's bad, because...?"
"It's not, it's just-" she sucked in a sharp breath, "My father's not very forgiving. I damaged his reputation enough with the teachers and now the whole school- no, probably the whole Carat Village. You know how our neighbors run their mouths. They're probably laughing at the fact that Jake Lee's perfect daughter finally slipped up"
