Chapter 8

After a few dance and singing performances, it was announced that every couple would dance together on the dance floor. This was actually done by Kartik so that their plan would get executed without any hindrance. But little did the group know that a major catastrophe is awaiting them.

"Arre Kartik humara kya hoga? Humare pati nahi hai toh kya hum nachenge nahi?" Sarla asked, disgusted.

"Haa nachiye bhi mat!" Kartik muttered.

"Kya kaha tune?"

"Arre aap nach sakte hai! Beshak nach sakte hai! Sab hi dance karenge! Koi restrictions nahi hai!" Kartik exclaimed.

After the music began and everyone started dancing, Kartik gestured Sonu.

Meanwhile, Rhea went to Ahaan, who came down after a few minutes and requested him to dance with her.

"Sab ne kitna accha performance diya! Par tumne toh kuch bhi nahi kiya. Ab please yeh wali couple dance pe mana mat karna, please!"

"Rhea par mujhe inn sab mein interest nahi hai."

"Bass ek baar! Please!" Rhea pleaded and Ahaan couldn't help but agree to her.

Both went to the floor and started swaying to the tune of the music.
Ahaan was least interested in it while Rhea was smiling, being happy about the fact that Ahaan had finally agreed.

While twirling Rhea, Ahaan's eyes took a turn and sighted Ishqi, who somehow seemed lonely to her.

"Sab log kitne maze se naach rahe hai! Aur main! Meri toh koi bhi partner nahi hai! Sab iss Mayank ke wajah ho raha hai. Agar usse maine tight nahi diya na toh mera naam bhi Ishqi nahi!" Ishqi who was cursing Mayank in her mind, sighed.

"Kya hua? Badi udaas nazar aa rahi ho! Kya baat hai?" Kartik inquired.

Ishqi turned to him. "Kuch nahi bass yun hi. Tum batao, Sonu ne aapna part kardiya na? Abhi tak aayi kyun nahi woh? Ab tak toh aa jana Chahiye tha!"

"Sonu toh kuch hi der pehle gayi thi serum milane. Tum chinta mat karo, woh aajayegi." Kartik assured.
Ishqi smiled, relaxing.
But suddenly she felt something strange. Where was Mayank? He should have been here!

Ishqi started to look for him. While Kartik went to his Mumma, Ishqi started to worry about Sonu.

"Yeh Mayank kahan chala gaaya? Usse toh yahi hona chahiye tha! Sonu bhi bohut der se gayi huyi hai, abhi tak laut ke nahi aayi. Agar Sonu kisi musibaad mein ho toh? Agar Mayank ne phir uske saath kuch badtameezi ki toh?" Ishqi started sweating, she couldn't think more.

Sonu went to the Mocktail Parlour and added the serum to a drink meant for Mayank.

"Mera kaam toh ho gaya. Par Mayank nazar nahi aa raha. Ab Ishqi ki baari hai, use juice pilana par agar Mayank ne uske saath kuch kiya toh? Nahi, nahi. Main meri wajah se uski jaan ko khatre mein nahi dal sakti! Main khud hi jaake use de aati hoon." After deciding what to do, Sonu proceeded to find Mayank but suddenly she felt something on her mouth.
Some smell was eating her up and after a few seconds, a blurred figure appeared in front of her.

It was Mayank. He made Sonu smell chloroform by placing a handkerchief on her mouth.

Sonu started to remove it and stop Mayank but she failed miserably.

"Bohut udd rahi thi na? Sabko batane ka bohut shok hai na tujhe? Ab dekh main kya karta hoon tere saath! " Mayank pulled and made his way to a room not far from the Sangeet area.

"Zyada chillana mat! Warna tu jaanti nahi main tere bhai ke saath bhi kya karunga! Aur waise bhi mujhse darne wali koi bhi baat nahi. Tu toh mujhe acchi tarah jaanti hai na? " Mayank smirked.
