'Uh?'

Hyunjin heard the door to the room open so he turned towards it. He saw Felix hesitantly entering the room. The taller one took off his headphones to hear what the boy had to say.
"Hi Lix", said Hyunjin with a smile.
"Hey Hyun, sorry for bothering"
"You'll never be a bother, you know it", he reassured.

He then focused on Felix's expression.
"You look sad, what happened?".
"I am not. I came here just because I wanted to spend some time with you..can I?", admitted the other.
"Sure, sit here" Hyunjin said patting the bed, inviting Felix to sit down.
Hyunjin sat up from his laying position allowing the freckled boy to sit cross-legged beside him.
The two boys stared into each other's eyes for a few moments. Hyunjin, unable to hold that silent eye contact any longer, tried to strike up a conversation.

"Mh..Where would you like to go?", Hyunjin asked after clearing his throat.
"What?"
"If you could go anywhere in the world, what place would you visit?", clarified him.
"Oh, well.. I think I'd go to Italy or maybe Japan, I've always thought they were.. interesting countries"

'Interesting countries? What was that supposed to mean? It's just Hyunjin, we talked hundreds times',
thought Felix as he glanced at the open window.

"Cool, I've never been in these countries."
'Cool?? Was that all you could come up with?', Hyunjin internally said to himself.

"What a-about you?" Felix asked.
'I should stop stuttering, it's literally embarrassing'
"I'd love to go to London but I think that every place is beautiful, especially if visited with the right person", Hyunjin awkwardly looked down.
'Did I just flirt with him?'

"I've been to London before and it is indeed spectacular" Felix was now looking again at the long haired boy.

They talked for almost two hours about anything they could think of.

'It seems like Hyunjin doesn't know I heard him saying that he doesn't like me', realized Felix at some point in their conversation.

"Where's Chan?", Hyunjin suddenly asked directing his attention to Chan's bed.
"He was reading in the living room when I last saw him, about two hours ago"

Hyunjin could feel — almost physically — Felix's attentive gaze.
"Two hours ago? Oh god, time has flown..", he noted,
"..it's because I'm with you, Lixie".

The words came out of his mouth before he could stop them. 'Shit. Did I say it out loud?'

'He obviously meant that as a friend. I'm one of his best friends, after all, nothing less and nothing more', thought Felix as he looked away from the boy.

Despite the younger's efforts to keep his cool,
Felix's cheeks turned a bright shade of pink.
Even the mere fact that Hyunjin called him 'Lixie' made his heart flutter. Felix had always loved the nickname Hyunjin had given him.

Hyunjin approached a bit to him.
Felix was practically struggling to keep his breathing regular as his heart pounded in his chest like a hammer.

Silence had fallen on the room. Hyunjin looked at Felix's lips, then at his eyes, looked for consent, which he seemed to find since he looked at the supple lips of his crush. He had always wondered if they were as soft as they looked.
Then Hyunjin couldn't resist anymore, he got even closer to the boy and closed the distance between them.

It finally happened.
Hyunjin had kissed Felix.

After almost three years of hidden feelings.
It should have been just a quick peck. Hyunjin was almost confident that Felix would reject him. The latter, on the other hand, thought Hyunjin would realize what he was doing and break away.

Felix felt excited yet confused. 'So he does likes me..?' but that didn't matter at the moment. His crush was kissing him, it was all he could focus on.

As they leaned in closer and closer, their lips brushed against each other, sending shivers through their bodies. It was a release of all the unspoken tension that had slowly built up between them.
Time seemed to stand still as they explored each other's mouths, the kiss deepening.

As they broke away from the kiss, their breaths were ragged.
They reluctantly separated, in need of air, their lips still tingling from the sensation of the kiss. They gazed at each other before Felix broke the silence, "this..this means you like me?"

"I've been falling for you for three years now, Lix, I am madly in love with you."
The boy needed a moment to let those words sink in, to realize that what was happening was real. After a few moments, he finally found the strength to speak. "Earlier I heard you saying that you like me as a friend so I didn't imagine that you-"

Hyunjin interrupted the sentence by kissing
yet again Felix's now swollen lips. "I had to", he muttered on the other's mouth.

— flashback —

"He probably didn't mean to say that he doesn't like you. I mean.. Yongbok, have you ever noticed his gaze when he talks about you? There is a different light in his eyes, it must mean something."
Seungmin said to Felix after the latter told him what happened that morning after training.
"I have never noticed this light", admitted him sadly.

"Trust me, everyone has. He most definitely has feelings for you". Felix and Seungmin were alone at the kitchen table, one in front of the other.

"You could just ask him, if you don't belive m-"
"Ask him? Are you serious, mate?", he interrupted.

"Okok, don't. But you could still try to spend more time alone with him, you'll probably see the spark I just mentioned"

"Maybe this isn't a bad idea. Just make sure that nobody else enter in the room 'cause that would ruin the moment, although if I'm sure nothing unusual will happen."
"Of course, trust me. No one will bother."

"Thanks Minmin, should I wait a bit..?"
"Just go in the room, everything's going to be fine. He's your best friend after all, isn't he? You have nothing to worry about."

Seungmin said pushing Felix towards the hall, the other nodded, took courage and went into the room where Hyunjin was.
