"Ray, no one's seen Emma, at all. Not since last night that is."

"Who was the last person to see her?"

"Gilda was, she told me Emma was only headed to change into pajamas then come back to us!"

Ray and I stood quietly, thinking a bit about where she could be.

"The whole place the was searched though, right?" He asked me.

"I asked a few kids to let me know if they found her, but they never did."

"Okay, well I can't go to sleep without knowing where she's at!" Ray raised his voice to me.

"I know, Ray. I feel the same way. We'll find her! If she's not in the base we'll have to search around outside."

"Why would Emma up and leave without telling anyone?"

"I'm not sure, seeing as her bed was made by morning she probably woke up early on purpose to do something and just never came back,"

"Norman! What could she possibly need to do?" he was shouting now, his voice cracking a little.

I can tell he's getting overly stressed over this now. I can't blame him though, it's a scary thought that someone in this world important to us is missing. With the way things are outside, there's an endless possibility of what happened. She could be hunting, fishing, getting supplies from a farm or demon town. However, I know she's smarter than to do any of those things on her own. Everyone knows going out on your own could lead to serious injury, or even worse. With the way Ray is acting, I can already tell he's jumped to thinking that 'worse'. The thought she's dead. Although I may be thinking the same thing, we can't let that get to us. We will find her.

"Ray," I lowered my tone and pulled him into a hug.

"It'll be okay, we will find her. She's only been missing for a day. The sooner we set out to find her, the quicker we will find her." I reassured him.

He took deep breaths, calming himself while I rubbed his back.

"We should... get going now. Norman?"

"Yeah, let's get going" As we stood up, I pressed my lips to his cheek.

"I've told Vincent and Barbara they're in charge until we get back"

"Sounds good, and the horses?" Ray ran through his mental checklist.

"They're out front waiting for us,"

"Food?"

"Packed and ready, along with the water."

"Blankets?"

"Right here," I held up the backpacks for us.

"What about-"

"Ray, the longer we stay here the worse things could be. We really should get going."

He chuckled sadly, "You're right, I'm sorry," He began to head towards the exit, to the horses.

Most people in the hideout would have guessed she left out the only entrance/exit, however, only Norman, Vincent, Barbara, and Cislo would know the second entrance. Which was soon shown to Ray and a few others. Both entrances were examined thoroughly to see if anything was out of the ordinary. To everyone's surprise, a golden amulet with a blue iris in the center lay about 10ft from the secret entrance. Emma couldn't have known about it, meaning it had to be something that either lured her or kidnaped her.
