3th POV
'We just have to get this over with, Mal,' Ben said, dragging her up the stairs to the front door of the castle.
'No, we don't,' she said.
'I'll buy you ice cream on our way back home if you just come in,' Ben promised her.
'Or, hear me out, we'll just turn around and you get me some ice cream now,' she suggested.
'It's gonna be fine,' he told her.
'You told me the same thing the last time we visited and we both know how that ended,' she reminded him.
'But this time we have nothing to hide,' he said.
'About that, how long are we gonna hide all this for the rest of the kingdom?' Mal asked. 'I hate lying to Evie.'
'We'll tell everyone soon, but first we have to go in here and talk to my parents,' Ben said, finally knocking on the door.
'I'm telling you, the moment that door opens, something is gonna go wrong,' she told him.
'Good evening,' Mrs Potts greeted them while she let them in. 'Your parents are in the living room.'
A maid took their coats and then they started walking towards the living room.
'See? We're inside and everything is still fine,' he said.
'Hmm, we'll see about that,' Mal said.
'My parents said they just wanted to discuss the situation with us, and we already know what plan they came up with, so there's not gonna be a big surprise there,' he told her.
'I don't get how you're still this naive,' Mal said.
'I'm not naive,' he said, while opening the door to the living room. 'Everything's fi-'
'Told you so,' Mal whispered to Ben as she smiled fakely at the unexpected guests.
'Audrey...' Ben said, in kind of a greetingly way. 'And Aurora and Phillip...'
'Hello Benjamin,' Aurora greeted him, very formally.
'Hi, kids, take a seat,' Beast said.
Ben and Mal hesitatingly walked to the couch and sat down. And then it was silent.
'Okay, is anyone gonna tell me what's going on?' Audrey asked, finally breaking the silence. 'Why am I here? And why is she here?'
It was at that moment Ben and Mal realized Audrey did not know about the cancellation of the wedding and, even more so, the reason for that.
Aurora and Phillip remained silent as they looked at Beast and Belle, expecting them to say something.
Belle sighed and looked at Beast. 'Shall I tell her?'
Audrey looked at her. 'Tell me what?'
'Well, uhm, you remember how you are supposed to be getting married to Ben soon, right?' Belle asked.
'I can recall, yes,' Audrey said.
'I don't know how to tell you this... uhm you're- you're not anymore,' Belle said.
'What do you mean "not anymore"?' she asked, rather confused. 'Is the wedding postponed?'
'No, sweetie, it's- it's- cancelled,' Belle told her, feeling kinda bad for the girl.
Audrey looked upset at Belle. 'What?'
Then her eyes focused on Mal, as she put one and one together. 'You...'
