Happy (belated) 5th of december! Little late, but ah well.
Sequel to Meant to be will be out soon!!!
3th POV
It was around 6 am when they got back to Auradon. As soon as Ben walked into his room, he let himself fall down onto his bed.
What was he gonna do? He couldn't force her to come back. If she was happier there, then he just had to let her, although that meant leaving her... Did she even love him, anyway? She'd never told him I love you, even though he told her he loved her multiple times.
It was weird to him, how fast their relationship got physical, when emotionally it was hard, especially on her side.
He now realized that maybe he hadn't really noticed how much she was struggling with her "new life" and with herself mostly. If he just would've seen it sooner, he would've been able to help her and maybe she wouldn't have left.
But all those "if's" didn't change anything, all that had happened was irreversible.

'You know, gorgeous?' Harry said to Mal, as they walked back to the chip shoppe. 'Dating Beastie-boy was such a waste. I mean, someone like you can do so much better than him.'
Mal rolled her eyes. 'Sure.'
'You went from me, to that,' he said, meaning Ben of course.
'I'd say that's a big improvement,' Mal said.
'Oh, so you're saying you actually loved that king of yours?' Harry asked her, knowing her better than that.
Mal kept quiet, not even really knowing the answer to that herself.
'Mmm-hmm,' Harry said. 'That's what I thought. He was probably just using you. That's what all those people are over there, fake.'
'Where have you been?' Uma asked them, as she walked out of the living part of the building into the chip shoppe.
'We were just playing hide and seek,' Harry said, pushing Mal onto the bench by the long table.
Uma looked confused at him. 'O- kay...'
'Hey guys, I'm back!' Gil said, walking into the chip shoppe.
'So, how's it going with your dad?' Uma asked him.
'Ah, well, we think he has a concussion, but my mom said that it couldn't be too bad since he doesn't really have much brain cells anyway,' he told them.
'I-' Uma began, but decided to not even respond to that.
'Oh, hey, Mal! Long time no see,' Gil said cheerful as always. 'How are you doing?'
Mal rolled her eyes and then turned to Harry. 'Okay, when are you gonna let me go?'
Harry chuckled. 'You think I'm gonna let you go?'
'Uhm... yes?' she said, shrugging her shoulders.
'Sorry to disappoint you, princess, but you got that all wrong,' he said. 'Because, you... are my girlfriend from now on.'
Mal laughed. 'I am not your girlfriend.'
'Well, now you are,' he told her.
'I don't think so,' she told him, getting up from the bench.
'If you wanna play hard-to-get,' Harry said and nodded at two pirates to get her.
They walked over to Mal. She tried to quickly run away, but had no chance to do so. The pirates held her by her upper arms and brought her to a small room on the other side of the chip shoppe.
