"I'm just saying that-" Adam tries to argue, before his wife cuts him off.

"That you think he's ruining his life, or what?" she asks him, crossing her arms.

"I did not say that," he defends himself. "It's just- he's so young, maybe he's making a mistake by settling like this right now. They can't know if they're it for each other already."

"You see how they are together, don't you? He loves her, more than anything. She's such a kind and loving person, why shouldn't he settle down with her?" she asks him.

"They're 17, Belle! That boy doesn't know what love is yet. You see how he just went from one girlfriend to another, who knows how quickly he will change his mind again," he tells her.

"This is different," she simply says.

"Different how? Different as in she's not even royal?" he asks. "She's not suited to be his Queen, Belle, you have to agree with me on that. She doesn't follow royal protocol, just does as she pleases, she's going to ruin the royal reputation, Ben's reputation, and I won't have that."

"You didn't seem to have a problem with that before all this," she notes.

"No, because I figured, he just wanted to date around a bit, have some fun like young people need to have. I thought he'd eventually get bored and move on to the next one," he tells her. "But instead he knocked her up. That's how irresponsible our son is."

Belle sighs. "I think he's actually handling it quite maturely, but alright. What are you even trying to say with all this?"

"We need to end this before it's too late," he tells her. "She needs to go."

"Adam, you better be joking," Belle says, feeling anger boiling inside her.

"I know some people who can take her in, keep her away from the public eye for at least the next 6 months," he tells her his plan.

"What- what do you mean- Adam, you're going way too far right now. Do you even hear what you're saying yourself?" she asks, totally perplexed by what her husband's suggesting.

"No one has to know," he continues. "We can just say that she lost the baby, that they've broken up and that she's temporarily moved away to process and heal. Meanwhile, Ben will marry Audrey and when she gets back, it's all better."

"You're crazy, you've lost your freaking marbles! What is wrong with you?!" Belle exclaims. "In no way is any of that okay, Adam! You're leaving them alone, you hear me! You leave this all be!"

"Belle, come one, think rationally-" he tries.

"So, I am the one who has to think rationally, huh?!" she scoffs, walking to the door. "I really hope you can come to your senses yourself, because this is not how it's going to be. Get your shit together, Adam, I mean it." And with that being said, she slams the door shut.

It's Wednesday afternoon, Ben's still in class while Mal's sitting in his room on his bed, staring through the window into the school garden. It's raining outside, it has been for the last hour. The sound of the drops hitting the glass of the window is soothing in a way. She just sits there, for the first time in weeks just being able to be alone and let her thoughts go around.

The past weeks have been so hectic and went by so quickly, she's barely had time to process any of it. It's a whole new life that they're starting, everything is going to change. She hasn't even thought about any of the practical things, about any of the things that they're going to face soon, at the ripe age of barely 17.
