As Thorn sat down, he noticed that each of them had a plate loaded with favorite foods. He had a fried chicken breast and leg, potato salad, and Cole slaw. He also had some apple pie, and a large glass of milk.

Honey had eggs over easy, hash browns, three sausage links, and a couple of biscuits. She also had some milk.

Gwydion had a hot roast beef sandwich, a large pile of French fries, both with gravy poured all over everything. He had milk, and some sort of reddish pie, but it didn't look like cherry pie.

When everyone had eaten their fill, Honey made two quick gestures with her arm, causing the plates to disappear and a large chocolate cake, with a single candle appeared. Smiling, Honey looked at Gwydion, "Happy Birthday my friend!"

Gwydion looked at her with a blank expression, "Is it my Birthday . . . really?"

"Yes!" Honey was almost giddy with excitement, "So, now cake for everyone." With that a plate with a piece of cake appeared in front of everyone, then a large scoop of vanilla ice cream appeared next to the cake. "Eat up, we don't want to disappoint the dragons."

They were stuffed, but the cake and ice cream soon vanished. When each had finished their cake, there was another flick of Honey's arm, and everything was gone.

Honey took Thorn's right arm, and Gwydion took his left, facing the mountains, they said, in unison, "Transport to Dragon Mountain." Instantly, they were on a ledge on the mountain, facing the rock wall.

Honey opened her mouth, but Gwydion held up his hand, "Allow me." He cleared his throat, "Open mountain to allow the Wizard Honey Bea, the Wizard Gwydion, and the human Thorn to enter." Instantly a huge cave appeared, and they faced a large purple dragon.

The dragon's body filled the entrance. The dragon lowered its head, the face was a luminescent purple that seemed to swirl various shades of purple, the eyes were yellow and cat like, its teeth were a brilliant white, and seemed to be painfully sharp. Then Thorn heard in his head, "No need to worry young human, you are in the company of two respected Wizards. No harm will come to you, we are actually very friendly." With that, the dragon shrunk in size allowing the three to pass.

Gwydion smiled, "Thank you Hilda, it is good to see you again after all these years."

"You as well Great Wizard."

Thorn watched the dragon as they walked past, her claws looked as sharp and deadly as her teeth. Being now a smaller, but still rather large size, he knew she could do terrible damage to anyone or anything that crossed her. Then, in his head, "That is true little one, but most are smart enough to not anger a dragon."

Gwydion and Honey chuckled, "Remember Thorn, dragons are very adept at picking up thoughts, especially from someone as untrained as you."

In a moment, they entered a huge room, with a very large black, three-headed dragon. The dragon was totally black, a flat black that didn't reflect light, making him invisible at night. There were large spikes running down his back and onto his tail. The eyes were bright and green, but also gentle in their gaze. He was laying on what appeared to be a cross between a throne and a couch. Suddenly, "Greetings great Wizards, and young novice. Welcome to Dragon Mountain. You may call me Willard, I'm afraid Henry closed his eyes for the last time two suns ago. My fellow dragons have voted me as their leader, at least for a while."

"Willard, we are pleased to see you again," Honey wasn't using mind speak, but talking normally, "I knew Henry was ill, but did not sense the time was so near for him. He was a wonderful leader, and I know he will be missed."
