A night to remember {A MGK fanfic}

•18th Birthday•

It was the day I've been waiting for practically my whole life, my 18th birthday. I was so excited that I was finally becoming an adult. My family doesn't really celebrate birthdays and I didn't have many friends so it wasn't a big deal to anyone except me. Especially because I had bought myself  tickets to go see MGK tonight. I'm such a huge fan of his. I was so excited because my other favorite artist JXDN was performing as the opening act. Since nobody got me gifts, I thought I would this would be the perfect one for myself. I made myself some breakfast, which was a new recipe I had found on Tiktok. Then, I got ready for my day finally being able to wear my birthday fit. It was a cute white dress with some heels that were to die for. I also had on some cute jewelry I bought off Amazon. After I finished getting ready, I got a call from one of my old friends named Kayla and decided to pick up.

*picks up call*
Kayla: Hey girl, happy birthday!
Y/N: Omg thank you! How have you been?
Kayla: I've been hanging in there, what about you?
Y/N: Same here to be honest. My parents don't care about my birthday whatsoever.
Kayla: I'm sorry, I know they were never one for birthdays. I'll try to stop by if I can unless you have any plans.
Y/N: I actually bought a ticket to the MGK concert tonight, I'm so hyped.
Kayla: No way, me and a few friends are going too! Did you wanna meet up when we get there?
Y/N: Definitely! I'll text you when I'm there!
Kayla: See you there, and maybe we can get dinner after?
Y/N: Bet, catch you later!
Kayla: See you there!
*hangs up*

I jumped in excitement, I couldn't believe I'd get to see her again and have people to stand with at the concert. I was a bit sad though because I felt like he'd never know I exist. Suddenly I got an idea, why not make a sign for him to read? I could write something cool on it to grab his attention. I grabbed my keys and ran to my car. Ok, I didn't exactly run because of the heels but you get the point. I drove to cvs to get the materials and drove back home to start creating this masterpiece. It had to be something that stood out. "I <3 MGK"? No not original enough. "Marry me MGK"? No too desperate. "It's my birthday, you're my wish<3"? Good enough to work, even though it was so cringe. I wrote the message in big letters on my poster board and added some decorations. It was so fun to make and hopefully he saw it. Then I had to wash the marker off my hands because somehow it always gets on there. I took a picture and sent it to Kayla to get her opinion on it.

Kayla: That's such a good idea! I love it, he'll definitely see it!
Y/N: I hope so..

I had so much time on my hands before the concert and I didn't know what to do. I took some birthday pics for Instagram become I was obsessed with the fit. Then I watched some Heartstopper which is literally my favorite show atm. I didn't eat lunch so I could save room for dinner. Before I knew it, it was time to start going to the concert, we had to get there early so we could get a good place to stand. I changed into my concert fit which was way more comfy. It was some ripped jeans with fishnets under and a cute crop top. I just had to add a choker to complete the look. Definitely couldn't forget some comfy sneakers since I'll be standing for awhile. I hopped in my car and started driving to meet Kayla at the venue ...
