"Don't hate me for doing what's best for myself. I've gotta win someway, don't I?" - Y/N L/N

(Y/N POV)

I was in Professor Port's class at the moment. I took a shit ton of medicine, so I felt good enough to head to class. I was currently listening to Jaune's failed attempts at asking Weiss out.

"So, Weiss, y'know uh, I-I was thinking after this, maybe we could go grab a bite to eat? And, uh um, I-I've got two tickets to that new Spruce Willis movie, if you wanna make the trip to Vale. I hear it's awesome. And maybe after that, we could study together? I mean, you're smart and I'm uh..."

I had to stifle a laugh at his terrible attempts. Though, I wasn't off much better with Weiss right now. We still hadn't talked since the docks, and I honestly made no attempt to. She would talk to me when she was ready hopefully. I looked over at her, just observing her. She was staring at the clock, which was currently at 3:59. It changed to 4 as I looked over at it. The bell rang, and Professor Port spoke up,

"And then I--- Oh. Timed that one wrong, I guess. Well, the stunning conclusion to this story will have to wait. Until next time!"

Jaune looked back at Weiss.

"Weiss? Did you hear me?"

Weiss responded without even looking back at him, simply packing her stuff.

"No, no, no, Yes."

Jaune groaned and slammed his head onto his desk. I winced for him, due to the harshness of Weiss' tone. I packed my stuff up and started walking out. I saw Yang walk up to Jaune and pat his head from the corner of my eye.

"One day..." She said.

Looking back for a quick second, I saw Ruby and Yang discussing something, Weiss walking towards her dorm, and Blake following her, but giving a quick glance in my direction. We made eye contact and she quickly looked away.

The hell? Did I do something?

I turned back around and continued heading in my own direction. After around 10 minutes, I ended up in the Beacon courtyard. Sighing, I walked over to a bench and sat down. I let my head fall back leaving me to just stare at the sky. Everything going on around was too much for me, honestly. It wasn't like I haven't gone through something like this before, but it was just everything stacked on top of each other. I had taken the time to build up these friendships, and it seemed like I was losing them. They have all been pretty distant lately and I wasn't quite sure why. On top of that, I had run out of my meds, leaving me to be pretty moody. I stayed there thinking for Oum knows how long, but I was shaken out of my thoughts when I felt someone sit down on the bench next to me.

I mentally cursed, not wanting to deal with anyone right now. I picked my head up and looked to my right. Who was the newcomer? Well, it was the girl I bumped into yesterday. As I turned over, she did the same, making eye contact with me.

Not again... Those damn eyes...

I was lost in them until she spoke,

"Hey, I just saw you moping over here so I decided I would come talk to you and... Make sure you're doing alright," She said.
