Andrea was sitting on her bed doing some late homework when she heard a knock at her door, her mums head popped in
"hi Mija" Penelope greeted her youngest daughter "hey Mami" Andrea greeted her mum
"so what are you doing?"
"just some last-minute homework"
"ooh nice" Penelope then fell silent and there was some awkward silence in the room but Andrea decided to break it
"So why are you in here?, not that I don't want you in here just wanna know," the girl asks her mum
"well, I haven't really been paying attention to you today with everything going on with your siblings so I came to check up on you and see what you've been up to so... what's up girl?"
"ok well for one never say girl again and actually something is up I got the highest score in my class for the math test and I and Eve won for best science project"
"wow, Mija I always knew you were secretly a nerd-" "Mami!"
"I'm kidding you know I'm kidding, but I'm very proud of you Mija and I want you to know you can always come talk to me okay?"
"Okay, thank ma"
"no problem, alright now get some sleep"
"Okay goodnight mum"
"goodnight Mija" Penelope kisses her daughters head and looks at her one more time then closes the door behind her
