As Levi spent countless minutes on the phone trying to get ahold of all his pals and sort out the problems while I went through Petra's apartment. It was a new experience for me and I was curious about a lot of things, like I've mentioned before: I'm new to all of this and I only pick up whatever knowledge I can through campers and Jägers.

In the kitchen there was random containers, pots and pans. Nothing I haven't seen before. Campers use 'em all the time.

What caught my attention the most was the black, flat box mounted on the apartment wall. It had buttons and wires running along the bottom of it and if I was correct it was a television.

I creeped up to it, pressing the first button I saw. It was at the end and had a... 'Q' like shape? Sorta like a upside down 'Q'. It scared me shitless when a flash of color and sound appeared where the blackness was. If I knew any better I would just say this is a giant immobile phone.

Except you can't call or text.

Levi hissed at me "Turn that off Wolf boy I'm on the phone,"

I flattened my ears against my head and dropped my tail, pressing the power button again to turn it off. I didn't enjoy getting scolded; just like any other dog or wolf.

Back to exploring. I headed over to a bunch of books. I used to steal/borrow books that campers sometimes brought and tried to teach myself to read and write. I was fairly good at reading. Writing on the other hand, I struggled with...
I picked up a thin, square-shaped book. It appeared brand new. The cover held an image of a snowy, white hill side; wolf pups in mid-play. The title was labeled "Wolf behavior". I carefully flipped open the book and started skimming the pages. I still lacked a good vocabulary but it didn't stop me from understanding the pictures. There was a photo of an alpha wolf growling at a small pack of rouges...I continued to flip through the books on Petra's bookshelf, pulling out all the ones she had on wolves and landscapes.
I was about to open a rather intriguing book about urban life until Levi's voice cut me off from my activity.

"All right, wolf boy, me and the crew have two RV's and a few tents we'll be using for this camping trip,"

I nodded and wagged my tail "This will be exciting won't it," I said cheerily, on the other hand this afternoon hadn't been a good one so he only gave me an annoyed glance at my enthusiasm.

"I suppose," Levi turned and sighed dramatically.

"Anyways, we gotta head back there. Hanji and Erwin need me. Would you be okay going back?"

I thought about it a moment before nodding my head in response "I've calmed down from all that I think I'll be fine to go back,"

Levi headed towards the door, me trailing right behind him. As long as those damned fire truck sirens were off I think I'd be good.
I followed Levi back down the street until we arrived once again at the burning building. Some of the citizens had lost interested and walked away while other peered at the the smoke and fire being controlled by the firemen. The chaotic atmosphere seemed to calm down and now it seemed like everybody was holding there breaths to see what would happen next.

Hanji was slumped over in the front seat of the Survey Corps van with the car door wide open. Erwin was talking to a police officer and some other important looking guys.

"So, if I was correct you tried conducting a highly explosive experiment in our apartment instead of the underground lab directly below the building," Levi huffed, crossing his arms.

Hanji shook her head sadly, a childish frown across her face. While Levi and Hanji continued chattering I went to go find the deer boy, Armin. I was excited to get to know him. He was just like me, a hybrid, some freak of nature if you must.

Pros to being part wolf, you get that extra sensitive smell and can locate the object or person your looking for, if it has a distinct smell, that is. It was hard to try to pick out his scent in all of the mingling aromas in the air. I had only picked up a brief scent from him. He smelled like pine needles and some sweet smell, like a shampoo. Maybe this Armin guy is more urban life then forest life.

"Where is he," I huffed. I couldn't pick up anything with the smoke and the smell of burning materials and people. I also smelt the aroma from asphalt and a near by bakery. This was fucking hopeless. I'd just talk to him later...

I headed back to Hanji and Levi. Hanji was still slumped over in the passengers seat while Levi was leaning back against the van.

"How long before you guys get all packed up for the 'camping trip'" I asked.

"Well, after the building is safe to enter, we'll have to go down to the Lab basement to get our supplies for the trip...after that we need to stop by the Survey Corps building, pick up Mikasa and grab some more supplies then get outta here. We won't be back to the forest for awhile,"

My tail drooped a little. I had to wait the rest of the day until I could return to the comforts of the forest.

It was a long boring hour of nothing but me walking around the van before a firemen allowed us into the building basement to grab supplies for the camping trip.
We had firemen follow me, Levi, Hanji, and Erwin in, incase it wasn't as safe as they thought. They had put out the fire and every thing was under control. The smoke wasn't as thick as it had been but we each received a surgical mask to keep the lingering smoke out of our lungs.

It was funny. How it felt against my face. I almost wanted to let out a giggle but that would just destroy whatever dignity I had to these humans. I can be such a puppy at times...

I followed Levi and the others down a hall. There was a hole in the ceiling which gave you a small view to the destruction on the floor just above. Ash and debris scattered everywhere. It made me wonder if the building was safe.
We finally made it to a door that let to a flight of stairs leading down. The steps were concrete and the place was started to look spooky, like those layered parking lots you see at hospitals or big important buildings. I walked through one once it was very eerie and silent before a car came and I ran away back into the forest.

The lights in the buildings basement were already flipped on and working. The deer boy, Armin was there with two firefighters and a police officer. They ended their conversation when we all walked it.

"Uh, reasonings for being down here?" The officer cocked an eyebrow at us. One of the firemen decided to answer that for us "They're here to fetch supplies,"

The officer nodded and continued "Carry on, ugh Hanji? Is it, I'll need to speak with you about the laboratory,"

Hanji separated from us to go tend to whatever business she had to deal with while Levi and Erwin started going through stuff, pulling out two tents and random kits. I didn't know where anything was so I stood off to the side awkwardly.

The smell of the laboratory was quite unpleasant. It smelt like...like...well, a hospital I'd assume. There was once a doctor that came down to the edge of the forest for a walk on his break time (the hospital is close to the forest) and he had this strong scent from his lab coat.

I could smell an almost toxic aroma. Most likely from all the chemical junk they do.

It wasn't long before Levi, Erwin and me had our arms loaded with supplies. Hanji and Armin came to join us, followed by the policeman and the firemen.

We all safely made it out of the building and we all stopped beside the van. Hanji had another pouty face, much like that of a child's.

"What's wrong, shitty glasses?" Levi grumbled.

Hanji fell on the floor and started banging her fists on the roads asphalt, fake crying out loud "They are going to investigate the laboratory after the building is finished and I'm going to have to dig up tons and tons of paperwork to show everything we have is legal and blah blah blah!!!" Hanji wailed some more "Do you know HOW MUCH BORING paperwork that is?!" Hanji cried.

Levi huffed "Oi, shut it you big baby, this is going to be a long day..."

Damn right it is.
