Bertholdt was in his room thinking about the past.
He remembers the first time he met annie.

*flashback*
He was being beaten up by Reiner's bullies since he helped  reiner escape them,  sure he was pretty tall for his age but he never really knew how to fight.
That's  when a small blonde girl approached them "leave" she spoke in a threatening voice.

The bullies mocked her but they were then immediately kicked to the ground. And they pitifully  ran away, the girl looked at him and offered him a hand telling him to move aside.  Bertholdt then stood up and thanked her.

She brushed him off and then proceeded to step on a bug. Bertholdt found her odd but he wanted to be friends with this mysterious girl.

Can i know your name?  He ask the girl squashing an ant.

It's  annie. She said.

Bertholdt then introduced himself to her and from then on they became friends... Well more like Bertholdt would  hang around her.

One time when he was about to go to the spot where annie is he saw her talking to another kid he's  never seen before.

A blonde kid, that kid  then gave annie a dandelion flower and seemed to explain something that made annie smile slightly.

Watching that scene, something bubbled within Bertholdt. He didn't want to see annie with  anyone like that.  She should only smile for him.  But she never did... Smile not even the slightest around him.

After the kid left, Bertholdt made his way towards annie. Say Annie...  We're friends right...?  He hesitantly asked.

Huh? Sure i don't really mind.  Annie told him nonchalantly and continued to stare at the flower.

Bertholdt pursed his lips, So... Annie... Will you promise to stay by my side always....since.. We are friends..?  Bertholdt looked at the smaller girl.

Uh...okay. she replied not seeming to fully listen.

Years later he managed to confess to her but she told him she didn't feel the same way. That  moment stung... But he thought that he probably wasn't enough yet for her... So he'll  prove worthy of her love.  So Bertholdt did everything he could to look impressive even learning how to style himself and play sports.

But they just drifted apart. But he mentally promised annie that he'll  do everything to win her.

*flashback end*

Bertholdt then called reiner. Hey reiner... I have a plan...and I need your  help.

Armin was in eren's house along with  mikasa they were spending some time together and armin finally tells them about him and annie.

So you're telling me that you  have been dating annie?! When?!   Why did you not tell us immediately???Mikasa looked at armin her arms crossed. 

Im really sorry mikasa! But a lot of stuff came and i forgot to tell you.. Armin apologized to her.

And eren did you know?? You don't seem surprised. Mikasa looks at eren who was casually scrolling on his phone.

Well... I saw it coming,  but i didn't know they were already dating but that's why I'm  not surprised.  Eren explained while yawning.

Mikasa then takes armin by the shoulder,  call annie.  We'll  need to celebrate you guys!  Mikasa excitedly  spoke.

Mikasa- why are you so worked up?  It's  kind of out of character for you to be this... Excited. Armin sweatdropped  looking at mikasa's eyes.
