ok so on that note I will also be going over the ranking system in the hunters society and the threat levels of different monsters

so first up is the unblooded. what they are is the newbies, hunters who passed the survival test and have earn their fist weapon. they are only aloud to take on smaller contracts with a threat level of 1 or 2. they may only advance in rank when on a hunt with a veteran hunter who will see and judge if he is worthy of the next rank. unblooded are required to work in teams of three until their called upon for the ranking.

the unblooded rank symbol is a normal skull

the next rank is the blooded rank. this is when an unblooded completes his or her first solo hunt. this is where the hunter can now take on higher ranking monsters such as threat levels 3 and 4. this is a rank where they can also choose to go out in teams or solo their hunts. they also get their first mark. what a mark is it's a brand from burning iron pressed into the pectoral muscle for men or the back shoulder for women. it shows the rank of the hunter and is rebranded for each rank earned.

the blooded symbol is a skull with horns on it

the next rank is the elite. these are hunters who have passed a rank by killing a monster above the required threat level of the blooded and have proven themselves as true hunters. they are now able to leave the homeland and live anywhere they choose within the four nations. they are also given their own arsenal as well as a personal gunsmith and contractor who gives them requested contracts for hunts, and a personal mount. they can hunt anything below threat level 7.

the elite symbol is a skull with horns and sharpened teeth

the next rank is the marshal. the marshal or teachers as some call them are hunters that have remained at the homeland In order to teach recruits and unblooded in hunts. this is a dangerous rank to achieve. in order to achieve it three elites must survive in certain areas infested with monsters for a year with nothing but their survival instincts a hunters knife and their training. they aren't allowed anything else not even their clothes. they must survive make their own clothes shelters and weapons for a year, this is a dangerous rank to achieve due to a fatality rate of 86% as not all are successful. the ones who do survive come back with a new rank and multiple benefits such as your own private contractor, your own shop, a ship with your own personally selected crew and your own guild if you so choose

the marshal symbol is a elongated skull with sharpened teeth, tusks and horns

the next rank is the grand marshal. there can only be 8 grand marshals as this is a rank that admits them to the council of Cazador or council of hunters to achieve this rank one has to complete the following tasks:

1. complete 10 threat level 8 contracts within a year

2. go through the trial of Azog. the trial is a series of mental and physical strain where you must face your fears, tell of your sins, experience tremendous pain both physical and mental, survive and conquer your own darkness by fighting your dark self in a mental realm, and finally consume the essence of purity and survive, this trial has a fatality rate of 98.5% and only the strong survive.

3. recite the hunters vow in front of the whole society

the grand marshal symbol is an elongated deer skull with long antlers and sharp teeth

the final rank is the Grandmaster. the grandmaster is the apex hunter and ruler of the hunter society. the Grandmaster has total control of everything. there can only be one grandmaster who's rank is not earned but there are two ways a Grandmaster is made, either by right of birth or election. the right of birth is when the previous Grandmaster dies but has an heir that is trained by the grand marshals and marshals, however if the Grandmaster has no heir then a council will be held on the winter solstice where the 8 grand marshals elect one of their own to be the next Grandmaster.

the symbol of the grandmaster is a wendigo skull with tusks and leaves adorned on the antlers

now with the ranking systems out of the way we com to the threat levels.

threat level 1: these are monsters that are easily dealt with. they are not as much of a threat to blooded hunters unless in large groups, beasts such as ghouls, zombies, bat beasts, bunyip and  burboks are among the most common in this category

threat level 2: these are more complicated monsters that while still not a threat to blooded hunters they are not to be underestimated. these are recommended for unblooded hunters to use as a rank hunt. beast such as Aswangs, adlets, kinboks, trolls, dryads, dogmen and boor beasts are within this category

threat level 3: this category is the most used in blooded hunters or elites who look for an easy fight. this is a category blooded hunters have to be wary as if they aren't prepared their first contract could be their last. beast such as jba fofi, sky serpents, boggarts, sugar plum fairies, tengu, sanguine beasts, burrowers, and death worms make up this category

threat level 4: this is the rank blooded must always watch out for and elites have to not be cocky on. this is the highest rank that a blooded can take. it is also the rank up category for blooded to become elites. this category includes beasts such as watchers, tree walkers, hide behinds, balndersnatches, snow harpies, chimera, hydra, skin walkers, temple beasts, sulyvahn's beasts, drakes, and xianghu

threat level 5: a category that is the main source of income for most elites and a method of easily honing a marshals skills if they wish to hunt. this is a category of beasts able to manipulate a multitude of things such as weather, minds and in some cases small forms of reality. creatures such as wendigo, witches, leshan, liches, marauder beasts, pain entities, peripheral jumpers, vampires, shoggoths, and certain demons line this category

threat level 6: this is a challenge for some elite hunters as this is a category for monsters that can manipulate the land around them to suit their needs. many elite hunters use this category as a way to haze new elites. dryads, dream eaters, mares, dommagors, brindelfincs, Vaarls, deer women, flower drakes, deadites, white eyes, and golems all are among here

threat level 7: this is a category that can only be done by highly trained elites or marshals due to the fact that these monsters can manipulate reality to a high degree. beasts like the evil eye, ghoul queens, colors, demon lords, bile masses, vampire lords, elder wendigo, orochi, wyverns, smog breathers, walking mountains, giants, sea beasts and ocean lords are a part of this category

threat level 8: this category is exclusively for marshals, grand marshals, and the grandmaster as any rank lower will not survive. some of the monsters on this category can create small dimensions of which they can manipulate or change into anything. this category includes dimensional hoppers, plane walkers, mindmelders, nightmares, star children, demi beasts, and dragons

threat level 9:this is a category for grand marshals and the Grandmaster as these beasts have the ability to create anything from nothing, even small universes. this category holds but is not limited to, flesh angels, gore lights, demon princes, founder entities, cenobites, ancient ones and nebula eaters

threat level 10: this is the most dangerous category of monster out there. only the Grand master is able to handle this category as it has beings considered gods or godlike. the monsters in this category are great old ones, demon kings, light lords, world eaters, overlords, forgotten ones, and dark hunters

and that is all for the hunter society, parings and threat levels. some of these beasts will be in the story and if I get as many reads I'll do a legend of kora continuation but until then hope you enjoyed this info page and I'll see you In the next chapter where we see our hunter for the first time and then his contract that will lead him to the southern air temple.

till then my fellow readers

JANOS OUT!!!
