60,000 years........since the first hunter picked up a spear.................60,000 years since the first beast was slain. it has been a time of prosperance, a time of settlement. but it is also a new age......the airbenders are gone, at least most of them are. the hunters were able to save a few. my grandfather was there when they went to save them. out of the 400,000 recorded airbenders we only saved 20 of them before the fire nation was able to wipe them out. they now live in the hunter city of Yharnam, one of the largest cities on the isle of Sunamar (the city in the picture above).
