The next morning was early for Elijah. It was the first day of the weekend and they had a long journey ahead of them. He met Sarai and Alana on the edge of the outer city. Both of them were riding strong horses and leading another. "These are some pretty strong horses". Elijah said. "Yea there from my territory here, Alana went to go get them." Sarai replied. "Life is more convenient when you have a rich girlfriend,'' Elijah said. "Shut-up" Sarai replied smiling. "It'll take a day and a half to get there so we should get back before the weekend is over". Elijah said, climbing on the horse. While on the road Elijah started a conversation that probably wouldn't end well but he had to know. "What can you tell me about this guy you're engaged to"? Elijah asked right when Sarai was taking a drink from her canteen and she started to cough. "What? Ohh ughh. Ok well just like here my country Mt. Zion we have nobility too, not as many just 3 families. The most powerful of those families is the one that he belongs to. So I grew up knowing who he was. I always had a feeling my father would give me to that family especially with what happened to my older brother". "So their influence in the country grew. It wasn't until 3 years ago around the time of the Generational Festival that they officially announced the engagement given to him." "Michael Fury is his name and he just became the youngest general in the King's army,'' Alana added. Elijah made a face at Alana. "So he's older than us?" Elijah asked. "Yes but only for 2 years." "There is no question about how powerful he is then. He could be the patriarch of his family by now right"? Elijah said. "No" Sarai replied. "His father is still stronger. If his father fought to the death with my uncle I'm sure my uncle would lose." "Wow" Elijah said. "So they're definitely not the number one noble family just because of their money, I see". Elijah says Intimidated . "Why be so amazed by that young lion? Your father could kill him with less than 4 blows." Alana said . Elijah laughed. "What!? My dad he's a huge softy. Let's just say he could, what then? Can I tell this Michael guy? My Father can kill yours, So back off my woman." Sarai laughs at Elijah's comment. "But seriously Elijah your father is that powerful there are few beastmen In all of Pangea that haven't heard the name of Samson Pride." "What stop playin"? Elijah said. Both Sarai and Alana looked puzzled. "You're serious," Elijah said. "I haven't heard any stories outside of our territory." "That's really shocking. I would definitely think the son would know about the father's greatness," said Alana. "Easy,'' said Sarai. "There is probably a good reason why you don't know". "What do you know?" asked Elijah. "I'll tell you this,'' Sarai said. "I think the reason why your family gained nobility is because the King wanted to keep a closer watch on your family, specifically your father". "I was always told that because my grandfather protected the King's sister in law( his brother's wife)from assassins is why we gain nobility." "I'm sure that's part of the reason too But not the entire one. There was a whole meeting about whether or not to let your family become a noble one and your father came up way more than your grandfather. They fear him, Elijah". Said Sarai . This weighed heavily on Elijah's mind. About how much he didn't know about his father. "How did you know about this meeting?" Elijah asked. "Through Aunt of course. Her and my uncle supported the idea of lion beastmen gaining nobility. Because they know the history of the country." Night began to fall so they decided to set up camp where they were. After everything was finally set up and they were eating. Elijah asked Sarai . "If I were to duel him right now, be honest, would he kill me?" Without hesitation she said "yes". "Damn!" Elijah said. "He has a lot of battle experience. "My father didn't just make him General for no reason. I will admit the Crescent moon kingdom is far more powerful than Mt.Zion but Mt. Zion forces see a lot more combat than most in the capital. Use the tournament as your training ground. The prince is probably just as strong as Michael is. If you can beat him you have a chance against Michael". Elijah smiled. "That's a really good way to look at it" thanks babe. Elijah said as they kissed. "Alana set up 2 tents, one is for her and the other is for us,'' said Sarai . "I'm ok. I'll sleep outside and keep guard. Plus the first time I lay with you I want you to be My wife". Sarai smiled. "I figured you were going to say that goodnight love". "goodnight" Elijah replied. Alana smiled at Elijah and said "I guess a lion's pride can also be a good thing". "I guess". Elijah replied. "You're an idiot". Said Solomon from the mindscape. "I refuse to believe we're even related now". "Shut-up and let's just start practicing". Said Elijah. "No no you see you could have been practicing something a lot more fun with her." Replied Solomon. "Can we PLEASE move on" said Elijah as the night began to drift on.
