Spot's POV:
I headed back to Brooklyn even though I was still all bruised up and in pain. I had to see Fox, after how Jack had described her to me I had to hold back tears. I had caused her to change, and not in a good way. I stumbled across the bridge until one of my newsies saw me and helped me back to the lodging house without a word.
I found strength when walking into the house. I ran up the stairs to my room, that's when I found her. She was laying on my bed in tears, she looked to be asleep but I wasn't sure. I noticed she was wearing one of my shirts but I didn't care. I sat down on the bed beside her and placed my hand on her ice cold arm. I couldn't tell if she was dead or alive and that's when I couldn't hold it in much longer, I started to cry. I'd never cried before but it felt good to let it out from years of holding it in.
"S-Spot? Is dat you'se?" her voice was really weak, "i-is dis a dream?"
"No, I'se is he'a." I pulled her into my arms and as soon as I did she attacked me into a hug.
Even though I was in alot of pain, the hug gave me strength. It made me feel better. I was with her and she was with me. I knew everything would be fine.
"W-Whe'a w-wer' ya?" I could hear the sobs in her voice as she spoke.
"Da refuge, da Delancey's took me d'ere. I'se is so sorry I'se scared ya." I held her tighter but not tight enough to break her in half. She pulled away and stared at me, an angry expression on her face. "Hey, whatev'a you'se is thinkin', stop thinkin' it. I'se is back now an' I'se is fine. D'ere ain't nuffin' ya need'a worry 'bout."
"Spot, I'se don't know if you'se can tell but I'se is changed. I'se is da Brooklyn lead'a now."
I turned red with anger as I flipped around and pinned her to the bed. "Listen missy, you'se wer'a jus' fillin' in, now dat I'se is back my boys will listen to me!" She smirked and pulled me into a kiss that I tried to escape but I just couldn't bring myself to pull way.
"I'se is jus' messin' wit ya." She smiled and then pulled me into another kiss that I couldn't help but melt into.
"Wait, wait, wait, so's what does dis mean fo' us?"
"What do ya mean, my king 'a Brooklyn?" She smirked again and I couldn't help but smile. She was finally mine, (y/n) was my girl, or should I say, my queen of Brooklyn.
