Chapter 8 : Voice

It's on the sixth day of their so called relationship and seemed like Kyungsoo forgot the days. He just had fun with Hani's company.

As Kyungsoo got busy with that day, he realized Hani didn't appear to him that day. She didn't also text him. No signs of her.

Where is she? Kyungsoo asks himself. He has a weird feeling disturbing inside of him thinking that maybe after not meeting Hani this day he might not be able to meet Hani again. A fear of Hani leaving him forever.

"Yah Kyungsoo hyung are you okay?" Kai asks Kyungsoo as he noticed Kyungsoo's in deep thoughts.

"Yeah Im okay." He's actually not.

"Your girlfriend seems absent this day. " Kai continued. "It seemed so quiet without her. Haven't you noticed?"

Kyungsoo thinks it too. Yeah it feels like there's something lost, empty and missing without her.

"I think so. No bothersome at all." Kyungsoo acted that he doesnt care.

"Oohhh you missed her right?" Kai started teasing him.

"Why would I? It's actually good that she's not here things would turn back to normal again." The thought of what he said crumples Kyungsoo's heart inside. What if Hani will really be gone forever? Argghh! What am i thinking of course he can't stay with me forever, our agreement would end soon. Kyungsoo said to himself.

"Hello everyone!" A girl of familiar energetic voice suddenly appeared that made Kyungsoo to turn around immediately. He thought it's Hani but she's not. It's their stylist.

Kyungsoo thought Hani would never come that day.

But days and weeks passed, Kyungsoo never heard of Hani again. He is also seemed so busy with EXO schedules but he can't avoid that there are times when he thinks of Hani. He actually tried to contact her but her number is always out of coverage.

Where is she? What happened to her? So that's it? A goodbye then? Kyungsoo remembered their last conversation when Hani told him he can't like her. Is she mad because I can't like her? But why I can't like her? Kyungsoo also remember the reason why he agreed being a week boyfriend was because of a picture but it seems like Hani deleted the picture already. It didn't get into the internet as what Hani promised. But Kyungsoo thought, they didn't get to finish their one week relationship and Hani suddenly left already.

What a mysterious girl. Really so mysterious.

"D.O.-ah your phone is ringing." A staff told Kyungsoo while they are in the dressing room preparing for a performance.

Kyungsoo grabs his phone which was placed in the desk near the mirror and gets shocked when he read who's calling.

It's Hani.

He went outside the room and immediately slide the screen to accept the call.

"Yah where have you been? Don't you know that Im worried about you? You didn't answer my calls and texts! Why do you always bother me? You're reall-"

"Is this Do Kyungsoo?"

Kyungsoo hasnt able to continue what he wanted to say because of an unfamiliar voice in the other line.

"N-nae. This is Do Kyungsoo." Kyungsoo said in a calm voice.

"This is Hani's mom. I really don't have an intention of bothering you." Hani's mom said softly on the other line.

"Oh no. Mrs Jung its not you what I meant..." Kyungsoo felt embarassed because of the things he murmured over the phone when in fact its Hani's mom in there.

But Kyungsoo heard a long sigh behind the line.

"You know Kyungsoo-ah. I know what you had with my daughter is just a fake one but I still thank you for accepting her wish to be her boyfriend. For such a very short time, we've seen Hani so happy that she never experienced before..." Kyungsoo heard a sob and felt nervous for what Hani's mom is saying.

"Hani wouldn't want you to be sad because she really loves you so much. I remembered the first time when she saw you singing on t.v., she adores your voice. Your voice eases the pain she is feeling right now. Your voice seemed like a medicine to her and that's why Im asking a favor to you right now."

Kyungsoo didnt understand what Hani's mom is saying.

"Kyungsoo-ah. Hani is now being comatosed after that night when she sends you off to take taxi. She had a heart attack and fainted in the streets."

Kyungsoo seemed a bit shocked and it took seconds before all the words that he heard from Hani's mom has sinked in to his head.

"Wh-what?" Thats the only word that went out from his mouth.

"She's sick. And I know she doesnt want you to know. But I still wanted you to know because I cant take to see her being in pain anymore. She has a heart disease Kyungsoo ah and I know your voice would only be the one who can make her strong. "

Kyungsoo just listened to Hani's mom's voice.

"Kyungsoo-ah there are already 2 days left. And if she won't wake up until that time..."

Kyungsoo is speechless he lost of words to say. A happy, energetic and active young girl as Hani is sick? How could that be possible? Kyungsoo ended the call without a word. And feels like there are tears who come out from his eyes.

"Kyungsoo ah we're looking for you what are you doing here, get ready it will be our turn soon... wait are you alright?" Suho said to Kyungsoo when he came out from the room.

"Hyung...I think I need to go." Kyungsoo said to Suho and suddenly ran leaving Suho in questioned.
