   ~3 weeks later, los angeles~

~allison edwards.~

its been three weeks of touring with the boys. nothing super exciting as of late; the fans actually dont hate me although i had originally taken a lot of heat. they'd definatly calmed down around me and now i was almost as famous as the boys, as a member of their staff.

Speaking of the boys, we'd all become closer. louis was my big brother. the protective, fussing, sassy, amazing big brother i'd never had. and eleanor, who i'd continued to talk to, was honestly the kindest, sweetest, most amazing girl in the world. if louis ever broke up with her, i would gladly kick his ass.

Niall was really close to me as a brother too, but not as pronounce. he never let me down on a promise, and our common bond over the love of food brought us closer and closer when i slaved over their hot stove. not that i did that super often; they said that they "didnt want to over work me."

Liam and i loved our late evening reading; id brought quite a few novels with me from my home collection and each night' we would sit in the kitchen together with the same book, read what we could at the same time, and have debates over what we read like the nerds we were.

zayn and i had bonded through our art; i loved to draw still life, and he'd give me pointers for line work while i helped him with shading. i'd met perrie a couple weeks back; Sweet gal. she was funny, too.

but who was i closest with?

Harry.the flirthy, sweet lad who had welcomed me into his life with open arms. quite literally. he always seemed to have his arm around my shoulder or waist. it seemed that we could talk about anything for hours, and being himself he'd slip in several sweet as all hell compliments that would make my skin burn a deep cherry red. he told me about growing up in cheshire, about his sister Gemma, and about his mum and step dad, Anne and Robin. i would tell him about my olde family vacations; the fishing and the long walks under the foliage. It all felt so Right to talk to him like that.

enough about harry, though. most of the time during concerts, i was either backstage with lou, or i was hanging with tyra, who josh had all but kiddnapped. thank god their hotel room was all the way down the hall from mine, i didnt want to hear them having sex. ALL THE FREAKING TIME. seriously, as soon as josh gets offstage, they start going at each other!

one by one, each of the boys, once a week, came down with harry's flu, although their's wasnt as extreme as his had been. so i'd covered for all of them at least once. liam was the most recent. do you remember something harry said a little while ago about duets between me and the boys? well, luckily, none of them were sick on the week we performed together. this week, it was me and harry's turn. i opened up my music book, and selected the two copies of the peice i had chosen a long time ago.

"harry? would you like to see what i picked?" he nodded.

"i've only been waiting a month! you wouldnt even let me see it on my birthday!" he pouted. he had gone out with the boys on his 18th birthday, except that niall was down with the flu and needed someone to take care of him. harry had given me such a look when i said i was staying home with niall that my heart had almost broken.

"yeah, i know. here." i stuffed the sheet music into his hands. as soon s his eyes hit the print, they widened.

"allison, this is..."

"powerful?" i suggested. he swallowed.

"yeah, really, really, really powerful." he swallowed again.

"we arent doing it for a week, harry." i said, touching his arm to calm him down. "we have time to learn it." he nodded, turning the page, and gasping at a couple of the high notes.
