Abby lay in the darkness of the room unsure of what to feel. She truly believed that she wasn't ready to become a mum.. But now? Now she knew why there was a disclaimer on the medication she'd been taking. The pill. The damned pill that's supposed to safe guard against things like this happening... it failed in its duty!

Noah and Caleb had been all smiles with hands rubbing her stomach while James stayed almost too quiet as he sat beside her and held her hand. She didn't know which type of behaviour she preferred; she didn't know how she felt herself!

Yes, there were options but the thought of either killing her babies or giving them away made her blood run cold. If she was honest then she would have to say that she never in her wildest dreams imagined that she'd have the chance to be a mum.

The guys had given her something that she hardly dared to dream of having. Once again they proved thst anything's possible.

Did she really care who the father actually was? In some ways it did matter but they were mainly the possibilities of what may go wrong. No relationship was foolproof and then there was the medical side to it all... and the questions. How would their children be treated at school? Would they be ostricised because they had more than one father?

These were all worries she knew ahe'd have to talk to the guys about... But how? Would they understand?

"James you're quiet. What's the matter love?"

The guys had decided, at the insistence of the nurse in charge, to come home to shower. They had to admit that it was needed. On the way home they'd gone through the first drive thru they'd seen and were now sitting in the kitchen eating.

"I want to marry Abby."

Noah and Caleb both looked at him dumbfounded. Sure he'd mentioned it in the past and even teased Abby on occassion but this was a very serious James. What exactly was he thinking?

"Baby boy..."

"No Caleb. My mind's made up. I'm going to ask her when we go back to the hospital."

"What makes you so determined love? Is it the babies?"

James stood up and put his plate in the sink and rinsed it off before turning and leaning back into the sink with his hands in his pockets.

"The babies are part of it" he agreed "but you know I've always wanted to marry her. Now is a good time."

Caleb watched as the small frown flickered over James' face. He really was serious.

"Talk to us baby boy. I'm personally not worried which one of us marries her one day because she belongs to us all so I'm happy to support your decision. I just want to know what makes you so determined now?"

"Lots of things" James shrugged.

"Like?" Noah prompted.

"Like the babies being born out of wedlock" he held up his hand as Noah and Caleb started to protest "Yes I know in this day and age it doesn't matter like it used to but will they feel like that when they get older?"

Noah looked at Caleb who held the same look of wonder on his face that he had on his own.

"What else?" Caleb asked.

"Don't you think Abby deserves to have some stability? To know that no matter what she isn't going to be alone?"

"That won't happen." Noah said firmly.

James looked at him with a wry smile "This is Abby we're talking about. Imagine everything going through her head at this moment."

"Shit. He's right."

"Is there anything else?" Noah asked as he nodded his agreement to Caleb's words.

"Who's the father?" James asked with a shrug.

"WHAT?" Caleb all but shouted at him "We all are! Those babies are ours!"

"I totally fucking agree Caleb. James you're talking shit!" Noah felt the rage build in himself and grabbed the edge of the table to try and keep calm.

"No. What I'm talking about is the fact that those babies births have to be registered. Do we leave that blank? Father unknown? I sure as hell don't want to be explaining to either of them why none of us manned up to being their father. What about when they're older? When they have school friends having parties they're not invited to because of us? Do they deserve that? They didn't ask to be created but I'm going to make damn fucking sure they know they're wanted!"

It finally sunk in. Caleb was the first to get up and pull James into his arms and held his head against his shoulder as he sobbed. Noah joined them moments later and with an arm around James' waist he took one of his hands in his own and kissed the tips of his fingers.

"Shhhh love. We understand... and agree."

"Yes baby boy" Caleb choked on his words "we do understand. Looks like you're about to be a Daddy..."

James pulled back and shook his head.

"We're all Daddies. We're having babies who have three daddies."

"That could be confusing" Noah teased.

"I elect to be called Papa" Caleb sniled through his tears.
