—major time skip to april 1st, 1972–
"good morning, remus." vega quietly said.
it was april first and vega, aspen, jasmine, and kasper were in the gryffindor tower.
the scarred boy yelped as he woke up, "what the—"
interrupting remus, sirius and james shrieked erupting out of the bathroom with their hair gone and bugs all over them.
"vega..." he paused, with his arms up in defense, "we're friends, remember?"
vega dramatically put a finger to her chin and thought carefully, "hmm, i mean yes? but also no? but yes, but no."
remus fake glared at her and kept his arms up, however, he was slowly inching to his wand.
sirius on the other hand, angrily made his way to his twin, "vega! remets-moi mes cheveux! arrête de rire! vega! je le jure à merlin!"
with sirius' outburst, vega laughed more, "calme-toi, sirius, ça ira bien."
"vega walburga black if you don't do something right now i will—" he growled, but was cut off.
"you'll what sirius?" sirius visibly shrunk in front of his sister. "it was a silly little prank, your precious locks will be fine. it should reappear in no time." he went to walk away, but vega wasn't finished, "you and your friends did much worse to the slytherins on our first day, first! do you understand that now because of your prank i'm in trouble?"
the room went silent. nobody dared to move, besides remus whose hands went down to the side of his body.
what was once an innocent prank from the ravenclaws to the four gryffindor boys, it became a family issue between the two black's.
james cleared his throat, "shall we go see what's for breakfast and what trouble peeves is up to?" he said, more so to peter, remus, aspen, jasmine, and kasper. the quintet nodded and followed james out, not sparing a glance at sirius and vega.
