the twins made their way to the hogwarts express with their friends, sulking.
sirius groaned entering the compartment which was quite full, holding all of the friends, "why do we have to go? golden child will already be there!" he said, talking about regulus.
"dunno, but i fucking hate it." she grumbled, sitting down rather loudly.
kasper looked to the twins slightly confused, "i see i've missed something?"
the entire group sighed (apart from the twins and kasper), who had already heard the entire story several, several times.
vega smiled sweetly, though there was nothing sweet about her smile, "dear old mum wants all of her lovely children home for our bloody banquet that we host every three years. she wants to show us off like always. prior to well, this summer," she said, looking rather uncomfortable in the end, nevertheless, vega continued, "mum would brag to the guests of how lovely regulus and myself were as sirius sat in the corner, i hated it, but it gave me a chance to impress the adults, which i didn't mind much. and now with what's happened, i reckon only regulus will be used as mum's pride."
sirius continued, "it'll be a big pity for us, we have nothing else to do while we're there." he looked to vega, "reckon it's been about six years since we actually enjoyed a banquet and we were six then."
"yeah, when andy was still here. she always made it fun." vega nodded, reminiscing the fun times mini her would have. "have you spoken to andy?"
"a few times, she's been quite busy lately with ted. 'pparently she started to paint and collect vinyls, it's been keeping her busy. you?" sirius shook his head, laughing.
vega smiled sadly, "haven't had the chance this year. with everything that had happened—"
aspen cut in, "it's okay," she said, putting a hand to vega's shoulder and rubbing it slightly, you don't need to explain yourself."
vega nodded at her with a thankful smile and opened her book. remus caught eye of her book and grinned, looking down at his.
