vega grinned and then whispered in his ear before walking away, "i'm not only his sister, but his twin sister. au revoir, remus." ❞

❝i'm sorry❞
it had been over a month since vega had last spoke to regulus and she still hasn't gotten over it. she was hurt, disappointed, and overall angry at the way he told her she didn't do anything for him.
"maybe he was lying?" jasmine questioned softly after her best friend brought the first year up for the hundredth time.
"maybe." vega said, still lingering on her thoughts. whether he was lying or not, he still hurt her dearly.
aspen rolled her eyes and looked at vega seriously, "love, it's been a month, you need to let it go. i know it's hard, but it's almost christmas and we're leaving for break next week!"
vega nodded at her words. she needed to let it go. "okay. i'm not sure i'm going home this break. doubt my mother and father want me home."
jasmine and aspen looked at each other uncomfortably before returning their gazes back to vega. the two knew all about vega's crazy family and unfortunately for aspen, she was able to sympathize with her because she has a similar home life except hers are more supportive and aren't abusive; just obsessed over blood purity.
"you're always welcomed at my home." jasmine smiled warmly, putting a hand on vega's shoulder. aspen nodded, "mine too!"
vega shook her head gratefully, "thank you, but i wouldn't want to invade."
jasmine rolled her eyes, "you wouldn't be invading you twat. how about next year we all go to my house for break, yeah?"
aspen and vega nodded, "deal!"
the three girls walked down from their dormitory and sat on the fuzzy floor of the common room. they had only been inside the gryffindor common room (and of course their own), but the ravenclaw common room is definitely the prettiest out of them all.
it's a wide, circular room with graceful arched windows that punctuate the walls which were hung with blue and bronze silks and a midnight soft blue carpet covered in stars, which is reflected onto the domed ceiling. the room was quite airy as well, which vega liked.
the furniture within the room includes sets of blue tables and chairs that are placed around the room and divans which are also placed around the airy room. there's a library as well, however, it's not as large as the main library at hogwarts, but it still holds a significant amount of books. the library was aspen's favorite part.
