NOVEMBER 2023,
WESTVIEW

Y/n was standing at the border of the hex in Westview with Wanda, watching it fade away.

She had been helping Monica Rambeau, Darcy Lewis, and Jimmy Woo with this Wanda situation.

Just a month after her dad's death, she already had to save some asses. She only agreed to do it because it was Wanda, and because she was her friend.

Most of her friends from the Avengers were gone, and she didn't want to lose any more people and friendships.

Wanda may hadn't liked the Starks, but she could tolerate Y/n.

They reached out to her because Y/n knew Wanda personally, and the fact that she now had superpowers.

Yes, superpowers. She'd had them ever since her dad's death.

Y/n didn't know how she got them – how to properly control them – or why they suddenly came to her. It just happened.

All she knew was that she had uni-vision, the ability to fly, telekinesis, enhanced senses, and a psychic awareness of imminent danger, and that she had to use them for the right causes.

Wanda looked around – as the people of Westview left one by one. She sighed. "I feel terrible," said Wanda. Y/n slung her arm around Wanda – tried to comfort her, "Wanda, what you did was wrong, yes, but you just felt alone, and you let your emotions get the best of you."

"I should've been there for you," Y/n added.

"You were dealing with your own grief," Wanda replied, "Don't blame yourself for my mistake."

"Well don't beat yourself up for it," Y/n smiled, "If i had the power that you have, i'd bring my dad back too."

"Speaking of powers.." Wanda started, taking Y/n's hands,  "These are new."

"I honestly don't know how i got them," Y/n told her, "I suppose i have to talk to someone about it." Wanda nodded, as they both kept walking. "Dr. Strange, perhaps," she suggested.

"Yeah, i was thinking of him," Y/n agreed, "But hey, i'm just gonna put the hero gig aside and focus on myself and my family for now."

"As you should," Wanda said, pulling Y/n in for a hug, "Take your time, honey."

They spent a couple of minutes in each other's embrace. Wanda and Y/n both understood each other – you could say they bonded over their grief.

They were both orphans – felt like they lost everything. But Y/n had to admit, she was luckier than Wanda. She had Pepper, Morgan, Happy.. Peter.

Everyone Wanda knew left her – and Y/n regretted the fact that she wasn't there to comfort Wanda – leading her into all of this mess.

But suddenly, Y/n heard a familiar voice. A very familiar voice.

"Y/n! Hey!"

Wanda and Y/n let go of each other, and as they turned around, Y/n saw Peter – wearing a navy blue jacket over a button up shirt in the same color, just a little lighter, and some jeans.

His hair was slicked back, although a little messy. He had only one airpod in his ear, clutching his phone. His brown eyes lit up as he jogged towards Y/n and Wanda.

"Peter!" Y/n greeted, hugging him immediately, What are you doing here, all the way in New Jersey?"

Peter smiled politely at Wanda, before turning to Y/n again. He struggled to form words – seemed a bit nervous for some reason, but eventually replied, "Your mom told me that you were here and i just came to pick you up."
