Chapter 5

D.E.O Med Bay

Everyone in the med bay with Barry was left surprised and worried for him since basically everyone on Team Flash would believe that Barry will be happy to see Iris again and be able to live his life but it was not like that at all so then Iris said with her voice raised "What do you mean Barry you and me have always been Barry and Iris and we are meant to be together" to this Barry knew that there would be a huge debate so he then spoke " How long was I gone for?" To this Caitlin said "For about seven months" to this Barry continued and said "For you guys it was seven months but for me it felt like seven thousand years" to this Alex said "Oh come on, not to sound rude but that literally seems impossible" to this some were thinking the same until Wally came in and said "It's not, since the speed force exist beyond time it will not run the same laws of physics like we do and I also know it by first hand in which when I was in the Speed Force time felt very long" after Wally gave his input everybody in the room was starting to understand Barry except one person and that was Iris and then she asked "Ok, but how does that effect us Barry we are always meant to be together" to this Barry was getting tired of the hearing the same thing over and over again so he decided to explain but not with all of the information so he said " In those seven thousand years I was inside the speed force I kept on living different lives based on actions I would have made but there was one thing that kept on being consistent the person I kept on falling in love with" to this everyone who went to retrieve Barry was starting to put the pieces together of why he said he loved Kara " I kept on living life over and over again falling for the same girl and having children and the thing was when I was approaching two thousand years in the speed force I could no longer tell the difference between reality and SF world and then I forget all about the true reality I'm supposed to be apart of but the thing is Iris, the girl I kept on falling in love with and marrying was never you"

To this everyone was surprised but Iris was not going to be accepting this as her answer so she said "That does not mean anything Barry you fell in love with me once and you can do it again" to this everyone was starting to see this conversation was going to go bad then Barry answered Iris back with the most calm voice he can muster by saying "It's not that easy Iris I fell in love with someone else, even though it was not the real person and because of that I don't love you anymore" to this Iris was having a mix of emotions but one thing she did know was that she understood that Barry does not love her anymore so she said "I guess the need for this ring is no use anymore" and with that she took of her ring and gave it to Barry and then started walking out of the med bay and before she left Barry spoke and said "I'm sorry I couldn't be the man that you needed and the one I wish I can be" and with that Iris walked out and the room was quiet and during that period Kara was reminded of what Mon-el told her when they broke up and she could not think about it any longer cause Barry decided to speak and said "So how were you guys holding up while I was gone?" To this Wally said "Team kid flash was doing very well" and to this Cisco interrupted and said "One, were not calling ourselves that and Two we had some good days and bad days" then Barry looked at Caitlin and said "It's good to see you again, how you been doing?" To this Caitlin was thinking very hard in to if she should tell the truth or not and she than said "I'm doing well, how about you Barr" to this Barry could see through Caitlin's facade because of the time he spent in the Speed Force so he answered and said "Well could be doing better but kind of glad of being back and Cait you and me are going to talk later" to this Caitlin just nodded her head shyly and then for Kara she was looking at this and started thinking in her mind "I don't like how close they are" but then she started telling her self "No Kara don't start thinking that you have feelings for him" then she was snapped out of her thinking when Barry spoke again and said "I'll stay in Central for about a week then head to Star for a week to resolve some problems then I plan on figuring what to do with the rest of my life" to this all of Team Flash nodded their heads and Joe asked " Do you plan to come back as the Flash or no" to this Barry was thinking a little bit and said "I'll come back as the Flash but most likely not to Central, I'll have a lot of memories good and bad their so, I guess that it would be time I move on literally and physically" to this Joe nodded his head and then Caitlin spoke up and said "Hey Barry is it ok that I can come with you I'm thinking as well it's time for to move on" to this Barry just smiled back and said "It is always ok Cait" and with that most of them now we're leaving the med bay area except Caitlin, Joe and Cisco but when Kara was walking out she was starting to feel a pain of jealousy towards Caitlin, but she also was telling herself to not feel like this but the more she thought of she realized she always liked Barry but never act upon it because of earth difference and they started to like other people.
