Backstory: Raya and his sister were founded by a jedi wookie named Rowan on Shili. When Raya and his sister were brought to the temple and trained with other younglings, he would meet and befriend Ahsoka. Raya was eventually assigned to Rowan. Rowan trained Raya until Rowan was picked for the battle of geonosis and was proclaimed to be killed by Count Dooku. Raya for the longest time was tutored by different jedi, until jedi master Kit Fisto took Raya as his padawan. One day, Raya got visions of his old master alive and went to find him. Raya traveled to wasskah and brought Rowan back to the jedi temple on Coruscant.
During Order 66, Raya joined Nyrshaki on an assignment to shili.'s holocron played Obi-wan's message and the siblings stayed on Shili, where he would remain for years. Until, he had a vision that told him to head to lothal where he and his sister met the ghost crew. Nyrshaki would keep Raya out of any missions ever since the inquisitors and Vader came into the picture. Raya was with Nryshaki during the battle of Endor. When the empire fell, Raya would go on his own to search for Thrawn.
