Backstory: Cytel was brought to the temple during the high republic era as a youngling and was trained by his master. When Cytel became a jedi knight he'd soon be assigned a theelin padawan named Ruthcha Tana. When the announcement of the grand army of the republic, Cytel disagreed with the idea. During his training of Ruthcha, Cytel would verbally abuse Ruthcha and thought little of her, or her friends.

It was after the bombing of the temple, where he'd send Ruthcha on an assignment. Cytel secret, once Ruthcha's squad landed on the planet, Cytel killed her entire squadron. Cytel would return to the temple and tell the council and the Akul crew that Ruthcha was dead. Cytel left Ruthcha stranded for months until he convinced her that the jedi have abandoned her and turned her to the dark side. Cytel suspected that Nyrshaki would try to find who killed Ruthcha and started to form a plan to kill Nyrshaki. Cytel brought the togruta away from the jedi temple Cytel readied his lightsaber to kill Nyrshaki, the togruta sensed the attack and blocked his attack. The two fought until they were approaching the edge of a building as they fought Nyrshaki disarmed Cytel and placed him under arrest for high treason against the jedi. Cytel replied with a chuckle and try to force lighting Nyrshaki, but got impaled by the padawan.
