Chapter 14

you slowly woke up to the sound again.. you saw a bit of smoke by the opened window beside the door.. the smell of cigarette smoke leaking in..

You let out a huff and got out of bed to see what it was.. you hoped it wasn't Denki picking up a bad habit but you noticed everyone was in the cabin.. or at least it appeared so.. you flinched and went back to your bed to grab your phone

You turned back to the door and walked over to open it after slipping your flip flops on.. you peaked out and saw no one was on the steps but there was a lit cigarette resting on one of the steps..

"This is weird.." you whispered to yourself

you stepped out and looked around quietly.. the faint sound of crickets was all to be heard.. you walked around the cabin and bumped into someone harshly.. You took in a sharp breath as you heard the person let out a slight grunt from the impact..

You looked up and saw Shoto?

"Are you okay?" He asked curiously as he looked down at you

"Oh uh yeah sorry" you hummed for a second you thought you were in trouble

"What are you doing up so late?" He asked you

"Oh um.. I heard something and I wanted to check it out.." you stated

Shoto nodded his head

"It must've been me then" he hummed out

You nodded your head and stretched slightly

"So why are you up?" You asked

"I couldn't sleep.. I uh.. it's hard sometimes for me.." he stated.. it seemed like something bothered him then he turned his attention to the cigarette on the stairs..

"You smoke?" He asked you

You shook your head in response

"No I got up and it was there.. I was gonna ask you if you smoked.." you mumbled quietly

He slowly nodded his head and motioned for you to stay put behind him while he investigated the area after putting it out..

You followed behind him and noticed foot steps in the dirt

"Why would someone smoke outside of the omega cabin.." he mumbled out.. his eyebrows were furrowed with concern.. was there a peeping tom?

You followed him quietly but found nothing.. Shoto sighed and sat down on one of the steps of the omega cabin

You took this opportunity to grab a box of candles from inside. Being sure to keep it down, then you took them outside and shut the door.

Shoto looked up at you curiously from his position

You smiled and sat beside him you then set out the three candles

"If it's not to much to ask could you help me a bit?" You asked him curiously

"With what?" He asked as he stared

"Well you see I have a hard time with these flames of mine.." you mumbled out

He slowly nodded his head

"But you used them well at the festival.." Shoto stated

"Yeah but that was just instinct I guess.." you explained to him

He nodded and smiled softly

"Alright then.. what do we need to do?" He asked curiously

"We need to light the two candles on opposite ends and not the one in the middle without melting them to nothing" you hummed out

"Your that bad huh?" He asked curiously

"Oh hush" you muttered slightly

He let out a soft chuckle before quietly doing it with ease

You smiled at this.. he looked so elegant..? No focused.. but he did it with such ease as if it was natural

"It's all in the thought process.. it's hard to control a flame but tone down everything inside or it may become wild" Shoto explained

You nodded your head and closed your eyes to concentrate.. you took in a deep breath.. just tone down everything inside..

You opened your eyes and the two candles were lit and the middle was left alone.. to top it off they weren't a pile of wax too!

You smiled happily and turned to Shoto. Pulling him into a quick hug

This caused Shoto to flinch slightly before slowly hugging back.. you soon let go and continued to light the candles.. Shoto watching your every move and how happy you got when you succeeded..

A candle beside him lit blue.. he stared at it quietly before picking it up and blew it out..

Eventually you accidentally fell asleep on Shoto..

The next morning you woke up on the steps with shoto.. a blanket draped over the both of you.. you yawned and carefully got up before waking Shoto

He flinched before looking up at you.. he looked embarrassed

"Did we sleep together..?" He asked

"Yeah we did" you chuckled out.. you then saw Denki and Aoyama staring at the both of you from the now opened door

"Well good morning to you two.." Denki stated as he stared

"Mon amie's did you rest well?" Aoyama asked

You nodded your head slowly

"Did the blanket treat you well?" Denki asked

"It did" Shoto stated as he stood up.. he scratched the back of his head

Was he nervous?

"Thanks for the blanket by the way" you hummed out thankfully

"Oh that wasn't us mon amie.. But alas if I had taken note of you two I would have!" He exclaimed with a smile

Shoto nodded and took this as a chance to run back to his own cabin

You chuckled as you watched him run off..

"So did you make out?" Denki asked as he stretched

"Did you french?" Aoyama teased

"Oh hush!" You stated with a huff

Aoyama chuckled and so did Denki

"Alright alright" Denki hummed out, "Now lets go cook!" He added

You smiled and went off to the cooking area after changing.. it didn't stop you from smelling kinda like Shoto though

Soon the counselor's came and explained that since everyone was working hard they put together a little thing for us tonight..

You smiled happily and cooked away with your friends this was so exciting!

But Bakugo just kinda stared at you.. while you helped him with cooking...

"You need a shower you smell like candy cane" he huffed out

"Oh.." you mumbled out

"Don't take it in a bad way.." he huffed "it's not terrible but if you run and take one I'll take over" he explained

You nodded and ran off to the showers after grabbing your items from the cabin
