Chapter 11

You let out a grumble. It had been a couple weeks since your heat and things were a little awkward.. some things were said the night of the sleep over that you had overheard

"Y.n you ready?" Denki asked

"For what?" You mumbled out cursing yourself if you forgot something important like with the dorms

"Well we are gonna go on a trip" he hummed

"But we don't know where" Aoyama added.. this confused you greatly

"It's so the league doesn't find us and attack us" Denki said

"So I should get packing" you said as you got up to go to your dorm.. quietly walking past Bakugo and Shoto who were talking quietly

Once in your room you began to pack, there was a gentle knock at your opened door

"Oh hey Izuku" you told him as you looked over at him

"Hey I was wondering if you needed help" He asked

"Well a little help couldn't hurt no one" you responded with a smile

Izuku smiled and began to help you pack.

"Listen I know the guys said some stuff at the sleep over but I think it might've been taken out of context" he told you

You turned to look at him

"What do you mean?" You asked

"Well when they said that they would you know.. I think they meant protection wise" Izuku said

"That makes sense but it's still so strange" you told him softly

"That is understandable" Izuku told you

Soon after you finished packing everything up

Then not too long after you as well as your classmates were loaded on the bus going to the unknown area

"So this is gonna be fun huh" Denki told you while you were on your phone

"Mhmm" you hummed out

"Where do you think we are going?" Denki asked

"Something like a hotel of sorts" you guessed

"Makes sense" Denki hummed out

"Honestly I'm a little nervous.. I haven't been so far away from my family before" you explained

"Really?" Denki asked

"Yeah.. I mean I have my mom and my brother's but my family has a lot of branches.." You explained

"So It's like a clan?" He asked you

"Yes in a sense.. and each of us has the kitsune or a fox based quirk since it is a dominant gene" you added

"I think I've heard about that thats like with brown hair and blonde hair if someone's parents has brown hair and the other blonde they will always have brown hair since blonde is the weaker gene but they will carry blonde hair in their code since it is recessive so if they meet another person with the same recessive gene they have a chance of having a child with blonde hair" Denki said

it seemed that he actually was smart but just didn't show it often

"Yes and some think that my family had the kitsune quirk before quirks were a thing since there was old stories about kitsunes" you hummed out.. it was interesting but your family wasn't the only one's that had this said about them.. oh there was so many more families that had dominant quirks and little stories

"Huh.. thats actually really interesting.. I think I've heard of that somewhere" Denki told you

You nodded your head

Denki smiled and opened up a small bento box he then picked up a slice of fried beef with his chopsticks and held it out to you. You smiled and happily ate it

"Thats so yummy" you told him

"Mhmm I helped Kirishima make it before we left" he said with a smile

"We really shouldn't eat on the bus through" You told him

"Fine" he said as he took a pice for himself and put the small bento box back in his bag

You hummed and looked over the seat in front of you.. you saw Shoto and Izuku.. you quietly sat back down at this

'Did they hear me?' You thought to yourself.. no the bus was so loud and besides it wasn't that important so why would you care.. and it's not like your classmates were into genetics or anything besides Denki or Iida

Shoto POV

I quietly sat with Izuku. I had heard Y.n's conversation with Denki.. I really shouldn't have paid so close attention to it but I couldn't help it.. was this what she meant when she said she was trying to prove herself? Was her extended family putting pressure on her because she had a quirk based on her genetics that many of her family had..?

Maybe me and her weren't that different.. what if she was like me in that way..

Thougts raced through my head

"Todoroki you okay?" Izuku asked curiously

"Yes I was just thinking about something" I responded

Izuku nodded his head at this

The rest of the bus ride I just stared out the window.

Y.n's POV

I let out a hum as I got off the bus

"It's a camp!" I exclaimed excitedly and Mr. Aizawa gave us our cabin papers

"Yes mon amie and it appears we are cabin mates with Denki and Ochako" Aoyama hummed out

You nodded and smiled although you had a slight grudge against Ochako since at the sports festival she was surprised I got so far.. then again she might not have meant it that way but it still rubbed you the wrong way

We soon made it to the cabins and I got the bottom bunk.. most people wanted the top but I thought I could hang blankets so that I wouldn't bug anyone at night with my phone

"Looks like the alphas are next door" Denki chuckled out as he looked out the window

You ran over and sure enough you saw them putting their items away

"Huh well this will be interesting" you mumbled out as you watched
