The sound of loud music plays in the background of a house party. The night is so clear almost every star is shown in the sky. 

Cardo chases Jaylin outside running away from the party. They both stop to catch their breath.

Cardo: "I'm really going to miss this place."

Jaylin pulls Cardo down with him as they sit in the glass. He pulls out two small bottles of liquor. 

Jaylin: "This old boring town? Please. I can't wait to get away. I get to finally be free. No judgement, no rules. Cardo, we can be whoever we want to be. I don't have to be what others want me to be."

Cardo: "I guess that's what growing up is about. Where did you get that liquor?"

Jaylin: "For one we are 21 so chill. Two, its a celebration! We graduated community college we are on to the next chapter on our lives!"

Jaylin hands Cardo a bottle.

Cardo: "I can't believe your parents let you get your own apartment. I'm stuck on campus. There goes all my money from my summer job."

Jaylin: " I told them I will pay all the bills. Who do I look like sharing a dorm? What if they steal my stuff and I have to fight? Do you see this face? I'm too pretty to fight but these hands work."

Cardo: "You could always stand your ground that's why you're my best friend."

Jaylin: "I might be little but I'm not going to let anymore walk all over me."

Cardo: " I'm happy we are friend for life."

They both smile.

Jaylin: "Like they say on social media we are for lifers!"

He laughs and Cardo joins in.

Cardo: "You know I always have your back right?"

Jaylin: "And I have yours. No matter what."

Cardo: "Okay can we talk about how we are going to the same college! I'm so excited!"

Jaylin: "Just like we planned. Everything is going according to plan."

Cardo: "I don't mean to be noisy but how are you going to pay for this apartment?"

Jaylin: "Well its a three bedroom apartment."

Cardo: "Why three bedrooms?"

Jaylin: "I want roommates. Who wants to come home to a empty apartment? Not I."

They both sips their drink.

Cardo: "Roommates.. that's cool. Do you know who you want your roommates to be?"

Jaylin: "I was thinking a hobo on the street."

Cardo looks at him in shock. Jaylin laughs.

Cardo: "That's-"

Jaylin: "I'm joking. You silly. Why would I have my best friend living in a boring ass dorm? Plus it will save a lot of money. You have to pay for your room. Each person pays $600 a month. That helps cover the bills. So maybe a part time job?"

Cardo: "$600 isn't bad."

Jaylin: "Tell me you will say yes. Please?"

Jaylin shows him his puppy face.

Cardo: "Alright man. But I'm curious. who's the last roommate?"

Jaylin: "I don't know. Maybe a girl to add spice?"

Cardo: "Cool a everyday one night stand."

Jaylin: "You sound like a tool."

Cardo:" I'm joking. And you of all people should know I like serious relationships."
