FATHER'S DAY

DISCLAMIER: This chapter is focused on Lee's back story. If you don't want a chapter dedicated to Lee than I would skip this chapter. TW: Emotional / Physical Trauma 

Emmanuel sits down on the swing set. He looks around at all the other kids playing. He starts to cry once he realizes that no one wants to be around him.

Dad: "Boy didn't I tell you to stop all that damn crying? Do you want to grow up a punk?  Wipe your face before I give you something to cry about. Why you crying anyway?"

Emmanuel: "Nobody wants to be my friend dad."

Dad: "Sometimes to get your way you have to create fear. Make people fear you to get your way. Go tell them boys that you will kill them if they don't hang out with you."

Emmanuel: "What if they still don't want to hang out with me?"

Dad: "Than I'll get the gun out the truck and kill them well you will."

Emmanuel: "But I don't want to hurt anyone."

Dad: "What did I say."

All Emmanuel wanted to do was make his dad happy. All his life goals was based on getting his father's approval. Everything he did never seemed like enough.

Emmanuel made sure those kids feared him because he didn't want to take their life. Deep down he knew his dad would have made him pull the trigger. He turns around to see his dad gone.

10 years later

Emmanuel became the sweet boy in school until he didn't get his way. It wasn't his fault he was taught to respond this way. He never truly wanted to hurt or control anyone but his dad made him feel that this way the only way.  He could control everyone but Iris. She was his one weakness.

Iris is laughing with Selena. This was freshmen year of college.

Selena: "Girl I think that boy is staring at you. Make sure you put in a good word for me he's kind of cute. I have to go to class but I'll talk to you later back at the doors."

Emmanuel sees Selena leave and notices Iris by herself and walks over.

Emmanuel: "Well hello. I haven't seen you before."

Iris: "Hello. Are you a freshmen too?"

Emmanuel: "Yeah. Name is Emmanuel but I go by Lee. Don't tell anymore. I only tell the people who are special to me my real name."

Iris: "So I'm special Mr. Lee? You just met me."

Lee: "Something tells me you will mean a lot to me."

Iris: "We will see about that."

She looks down to see a scar on his arm.

Iris looks worried.

Iris: "Wants that on your arm?"

Lee pulls down his shirt.

Lee: "None of your got damn business unless you want me to beat your ass."

Iris laughs.

Iris: "You're a asshole."

Lee frowns.

Iris: "How are you going to say I'm special in your life than threaten mines? How does that work? Listen if you want to keep me as a friend I can keep secrets."

Lee: "Okay my biggest secret is my dad and uncle beat and abuse me. My dad hits me and my uncle assaults me."

Iris: "Have you told someone?

Lee: "And tell them what? They don't give a fuck about me! So you know what I did? Started a gang called the Alley Boys. Since my family won't protect me I created my own protection."

Iris: "Why are you telling me all this?"

Lee: "Because you will be my trap queen. Every king needs their queen. I'm choosing you."

Iris: "Again you don't know me plus my friend wants you anyway."

Lee: "I don't want her I want you."

He grabs her by the neck and kisses her she kisses back.

Selena is walking back from class when she sees this. She turns around.

Iris: "Why did you do that?"

Lee: "To see if you would let me."

Iris: "Do that again."

He kisses her.

Summer before Junior year.

Uncle: "Pull down them drawers man. I've been waiting 19 years I'm not playing with you."

Lee: "Please don't."

Uncle: " I don't give a fuck. Shit I'll do it myself."

Lee screams.

Fuck  A Father's Day in Lee's eyes.
