"Stay close kids, don't leave my side," the Sun meowed, walking along the sidewalk. Earth and Saturn, now six and five, scampered after him. Two years had passed since the latter had been adopted. Life has been great so far for the family of three. No trouble, no worries other than Saturn still having terrible navigation skills. Just happy days.

And today was a great day for a morning walk.

"Hey Sun! Wait up!" a voice called out. Peering over his shoulder, the Sun smiled when he saw his friend Sirius. Moving from a run to a trot, the bright star cat purred, "Beautiful morning for a walk." A smile on his face, the Sun nodded his head in agreement and replied, "Yes it is."

"Please, there's no such thing as a beautiful morning," Polaris grumbled. He and Vega had caught up with Sirius. His heart fluttering, the Sun murmured, "Hey Vega." Purring softly, Vega replied back, "Hi Sun." A staring contest of sorts began between the two. It was interrupted when Polaris muttered, "If you two kiss I'm gonna puke."

"Brighten up Polaris! It's a wonderful morning today!" Sirius exclaimed, wagging his tail while his blue tongue hung out of his mouth. Huffing irritably, Polaris rolled his sightless white eyes in annoyance. Next to him, Vega pointed out kindly, "Sirius does have a point Polaris. Smile more often. It will do you some good."

"Hey, why did the terrestrial planet kitten cross the road?" Earth suddenly asked out of nowhere. Turning around, the Sun saw that she was standing on the curb looking out across the street. Thinking she was trying to tell another version of the chicken joke, the star cat played along and meowed, "I don't know sweetie. Why did the terrestrial planet kitten cross the road?"

"Look," Earth stated. Grabbing the Sun's chin with her tiny paw, she turned his head so he was facing left. The star cat finally saw what she was talking about. There was a small terrestrial planet kitten sprinting back and forth across the road, laughing his head off. He looked like he was having fun. He was clearly playing some kind of game with himself.

Unfortunately, the terrestrial planet kitten was playing on a very busy street with asteroids rolling left and right...
