"Vega! Watch over Earth and Saturn! Don't let them out of your sight!" the Sun exclaimed. His heart pounding in his chest, he boldly dashed across the street. Vega and Sirius, in the meantime, pulled Earth and Saturn away from the edge of the sidewalk. Sirius even covered their eyes so they couldn't watch.

Narrowly avoiding a huge asteroid, the Sun jumped over a smaller one and made it across the street. His paws barely even touched the sidewalk when he made another bold leap. The terrestrial planet kitten was still in the middle of the road and there was an asteroid fast approaching. Racing out, the Sun grabbed the kitten by the scruff and pulled him away just in the nick of time.

They were safe.

"Sun! Are you okay?!" Vega cried. She was now standing over the other star cat, along with Earth, Saturn, Sirius and Polaris. They luckily managed to get across the street safely. Lifting his head, the Sun asked, "What... what happened?"

"You ruined my game, that's what!" a tiny voice squeaked. All eyes turned towards the speaker. The speaker happened to be the young terrestrial planet kitten who the Sun just saved. He was a small little thing, smaller than Earth and Saturn. He actually looked like he was the same age as the latter. The terrestrial planet kitten had light yellow fur with very small gray spots all over his lithe body. His eyes were a light greenish yellow color.

"Kid, do you even KNOW-" Polaris hissed angrily, getting ready to scold the planet kitten. Little did he know, the blind star cat had his back turned to the kitten. To make matters worse, he was scolding a lamppost. Sirius quickly stopped his friend before he made a bigger fool of himself. Clearing her throat, Vega approached the kitten and stated, "The road is not somewhere someone your age should play around at."

"So?"

"So? Dear Celestial... where are your parents, kid?" the Sun asked, looking around. Scoffing, the terrestrial planet kitten rolled his eyes as he commented, "Where are my parents?! News flash, I'm five. I don't know where they are. They left me at an orphanage when I was born!"

"Okay, I guess we're taking you back to the orphanage then," Vega murmured with a sigh. The planet kitten snickered and sneered, "I ran away from ten orphanages all over the universe! Good luck finding which one I was in last!" Growling, Polaris snapped, "How about we take you to the police station?!"

"No! Wait one second!" the Sun exclaimed, intervening. The other star cats backed off slightly while he sat down before the kitten. Quietly wrapping his tail around the kitten, he asked softly, "What's your name little one." Flicking his ear irritably, the planet kitten muttered, "Mercury."

"Mercury, how about we go to my house," the Sun suggested, "So you can have a proper home?"
