Chapter 2. Was this a mistake?

Spencer woke up from the sunshine peeking through the window. He looked over at Olivia who was still asleep and smiled. He got up out of bed and went into the bathroom to get ready for the day. He turned on the shower and hopped in. After showering he quietly went downstairs and made breakfast. Olivia woke up and was confused why she was naked in bed. Then it hit her she remembers bits and pieces of what happened last night. "No that didn't happen right, it was just a dream?" Olivia thought to herself. But when spencer walked in with breakfast she knew it wasn't a dream and that they actually hooked up."hey beautiful, good morning"Spencer said as he sat down the breakfast and kissed liv. She pushed him off of her."What are you doing!?" liv asked. "What are you talking about? I thought that what happened last night meant that were together but I guess not" spencer said sadly." I'm sorry Spencer it's just.." liv said, "It's just what?" spencer asked confused. "It's just I don't really remember last night," liv said looking down."What do you mean you don't remember last night?" Spence asked, "I mean, I remember bits and pieces but.." liv said. "How is that possible?" spencer asked and Livs eyes shot open."What, what is it!?" spencer asked. "oh it's um it's nothing"Liv lied.

"Liv stop lying what is it?"Spencer asked again, a little annoyed this time. "Well umm. before you came back, I was... I was..." "You were what?"Spencer said sitting on the bed." I was feeling alone, so I went downstairs and I umm. i-i d-drank" liv said looking down."YOU WHAT!???" Spencer yelled scaring liv a little bit. "I-I am sorry okay I thought I was gonna be all alone and-" liv said before spencer cut her off" So I took advantage of you?"Spencer said in disbelief. "No no you didn't know okay," Liv said. "Yea but I should've Liv.  Wait how much did you drink?" spencer said looking at liv." Not that much, just like 5 or 6 big gulps of vodka." ( That's exaggerated just an FYI she only had like 2 sips in the show)  liv said looking up at him making eye contact. Spencer had tears in his eyes feeling guilty." I'm so sorry liv." spencer said with a tear escaping his eyes."Hey, hey it's okay alright you didn't know alright I don't blame you. I blame me for even drinking."Liv said whipping his tear away."Liv, why did drinking even come to your mind I kept asking if you were okay and you said you had everything under control."Spencer said looking at her. "I lied okay I didn't want you to worry about me with you moving back to Crenshaw and saving your school. I just didn't want to be a burden to you."Liv said with her eyes becoming watery. "Liv you will never be a burden, you can tell me anything okay," Spencer said"Okay," Liv said with a tear escaping. "Come here," Spencer said with his arms out. Liv hugged him realizing she was still naked and pulled away. She let out a nervous laugh while pulling a cover over herself."I'll leave you to get dressed, ill be downstairs." Spencer said walking out the door."Hey Spence."Liv said. "Yea?" Spencer said seeing her mood change and became sad. "I'm so sorry," Liv said with a few tears escaping her eyes."Me too" Spencer said with a sad smile.  

While spencer was downstairs he got a text from Layla saying that they landed in Atlanta for coops first show. Spencer put his phone down on the counter and 5 mins later  he heard footsteps coming down the stairs."Hey umm, can we talk about last night?"Liv asked wanting to know what happened and how they ended up hooking up. "Sure what do you want to know?"Spencer asked feeling a bit awkward. "Well, I just want to know why we even hooked up in the first place.¨ Liv asked."Well um.." Spencer explained how he threw her in the pool, slipped and she fell on him and they had a moment, etc."oh ok so it was just like a one-nightstand type of thing? " Liv said feeling a bit awkward.¨Yea, kinda like that"Spencer said sadly not wanting it to be a one-nightstand. He wanted it to be more than that, he wanted her to be his girl."Okay well, I'm glad we're on the same page."Iv said with a sad smile. "Yea, me too."Said Spencer with a sad smile as well. "So you wanna watch a movie or something?"Liv asked. "I should really get going I know my mom will be wondering where I am, "Spencer said sadly. "Yeah okay, well umm call me I guess when you need something, "Liv said. "Will do". "Listen I just don't want this one mistake to ruin our friendship okay," Liv said closing the gap and standing a few feet from him. Spencer got up and started heading towards the door and turned around to her with tears in his eyes saying. "That's the thing liv, I didn't want it to be a mistake" Before she could say anything he was out the door.
