cw: very light smut, alcohol, drinking
word count: 1,360
based off of the song "striptease" by carwash

side note: i wrote this with the original song in mind, but the slowed version is nicer to read along to. my favorite thing to do is read the story, then listen to the song with the lyrics out to really take everything in. i'm obsessed with this song rn, so i hope you enjoy!

The bass was pounding in your ears, loud enough to make your feet vibrate with each step you took. In front of you was Nick, who was grabbing you by your hand and leading you to the exit of the house that was filled with the smell of smoke, alcohol, and a little bit of sweat. He looked back at you with a certain look in his eyes that you couldn't quite pin down.

Do you remember when we kissed in the bathroom?
Oh damn, that was just two hours ago

Your mind wandered to flashbacks from the beginning of the party as you climbed into the passenger seat of Nick's car. Two hours ago you knew you were slightly tipsy at a random party in Florida, but besides that you had no idea where your friends were. So you blended into the crowd, leaning back like a wallflower, and took another sip of your drink. Suddenly, your old "friend" Nick caught your eye from across the room. You hadn't spoken to him since your "fling" a few summers ago, so you debated whether to approach him. You made up your mind and walked over to him to say hello.

"Hey, Nick! It's been forever," you said, tapping his shoulder and trying to bury your slight shyness under a confident smile.

Nick turned around and you met his soft, green eyes. He wore a grey hoodie under a loose flannel, black jeans, some grey Jordan 1s, and a black cap that read "VANS" in the middle. His chestnut hair slightly stuck out from underneath, complimenting his trimmed beard. God, he looked as good as ever. "Y/N, hey! It's been forever!" he said, pulling you into a hug. His arms around you caught you off guard, hugging you tightly, but you didn't mind. You got a whiff of his seductive cologne as you pressed against his chest. Nick backed away, still keeping his hands on your waist.

"Your shoelaces are untied," you said, looking down to your feet and laughing lowly.

Nick smugly replied, "That's how I like mine," smirking at you slightly. You realized that your hands were still draped over Nick's shoulders, but you didn't bother to move them. You and Nick continued to look into each other's eyes, before Nick broke the eye contact to quickly glance at your lips. He licked his lips subconsciously, and suddenly the tension between the two of you was unbearable.

On and on
Like you were my first love

Nick leaned in close to your ear to say something. "Do you wanna get out of here?" he whispered, his lips grazing the side of your face. "We could just run away. Not tell anybody." You looked him in the eyes and nodded, dragging your hands down from his shoulders down his chest until they reached his hands and you held them, squeezing slightly.

Before you knew it the two of you had drunkenly reached the bathroom, and Nick closed the door. He lifted you up on the bathroom counter and cupped your face with his hand, the other resting on your thigh. Softly, he kissed your lips before picking up the pace, working his way down to your neck. His lips were slightly chapped and you could taste the alcohol on his breath, but you wouldn't want it any other way. You ran your hands through his hair, tossing his hat off onto the floor, slightly moaning as his hands began to roam your body.

I really like the way your hair blows looking back at me

"I missed you..." you whispered between kisses. Nicked pulled away, resting his forehead on yours

"I missed you too, Y/N. This feels like some bullshit teenage summer dream."

The stereo was slapping you across the face, with the beats of the music. The two of you pulled apart to catch your breath. "Let's ditch this dump," Nick said with a final breath, attempting to regain his composure. "Like old times."

You smiled at him, devilishly. You and him both knew where this was going, it had happened a hundred times that one summer.

And that's how you ended up here, with Nick pulling you towards his car through the crowds of people and ever so often glancing back at you.

Nick pulled open the door and sat in the driver's seat, first looking in front of him to check how much gas he had in his car. He then adjusted the way he was sitting to fully face you, and you mirrored him.

"What do you wanna do, Y/n?" he asked, his voice low and husky enough for you to understand what he was implying. "We're running low on gas but we don't have a place to go." Before you knew it, your lips were latched onto his, fighting for dominance with your tongues. Your hands found their way down Nick's chest, almost to the button of his jeans. You pulled away, and you could have sworn you heard the man whimper slightly. "Oh come on baby," he said, upset at the loss of your touch but willing to play your games. Your core fluttered at the pet name and you pushed your thighs together, turning away to put your seatbelt on.

Oh come on baby, baby.

"Drive," you said impatiently, attempting to hide just how flustered this man made you feel.

"My place?" he asked. You hummed an "mhm" in response.

Without hesitation, Nick put his arm around the back of the head of your seat to reverse, and almost sped down the dimly lit highway. If him wrapping his arm back to reverse wasn't enough to turn you on, you felt his hand grip your inner thigh as his other hand gripped the steering wheel.

You're t-t-teasing me in the car
You told me that your house is not far

"Actually," Nick started, gripping your thigh just a little tighter. "We're making a pitstop."

Abruptly, the car came to a stop on the side of the highway. It was dark outside and you had no idea what Nick was doing. Nick exited his car and opened your door for you, opening his hand for you to take it. Confused, you grabbed his hand and followed him out of the car. And what you saw was not what you expected at all.

Behind you, cars were racing at 70 miles an hour, fast enough to blow wind in your face as the flashing lights passed by. Nick left his music playing in the car, which could barely be heard over the cars speeding by. In front of you, however, was the ocean under the night sky.

Can't we just go to the beach
I think we both know what we need

The waves calmly danced back and forth as you looked up to see the sky covered in stars that glistened. It was a slightly chilly night in Florida because of the breeze, but at this point you didn't care. The view was breathtaking. You had never bothered to visit the beach at night, it just didn't make sense to you. But you were glad Nick brought you here. Effortlessly, your hand slipped into his. He leaned on the front of his car and brought you close into his lap. As you pressed against him, his arms snaked around your waist and he rested his head in the crook of your neck.

On and on
Like you were my first love
We could just runaway
Not tell anybody

"I really like the way your hair blows looking back at me," he said, then sweetly planting a kiss on your cheek.

This feels like some bullshit teenage summer dream.

You turned around to kiss him again, pressing your lips to his own and lingering there afterward. The feeling of Nick's breath against your own, the crashing sounds of the waves, the white noise from the cars, the slight tune you could barely make out coming from Nick's stereo, and the way Nick looked at you so lovingly were all just incredible. Everything was perfect.

We're running low on gas but we don't have a place to go.
