"Mr. Aizawa, did you get mugged by the fashion police?"
While he had expected some comment when he walked into homeroom with his hair neat bun and a regular dark, suit instead of his normal hero costume, Shouta had not expected Asui, normally a sensible student, to be the one to ask so it took him a moment to respond.
"I have a meeting to get to after school and don't want to bother changing," he said.
"This meeting. Does it have to do with a certain green-haired, smiling beauty?" Mineta asked, a sly look on his face.
Shouta didn't mean to use his quirk on the student, but the burn in his eyes and the slight twitch from his bound hair when he glared at Mineta told him he was. The look in his now red eyes threatened Mineta and every student in Class 1A with imminent mayhem if they did not shut up.
"That," he said slowly, "is none of your business."
After a moment, he closed his eyes and then proceeded to his desk and began the lesson. None of the students said anything about his suit or his meeting during the lesson. A few of them-mostly Kaminari and Mineta gave him smug looks when they thought he couldn't see them-but a few pop questions sent their way soon had them behaving.
The bigger problem was Todoroki, Koda, Shojii, Jiro, Yaoyoruzu, and Hagakure. They watched him like a hawk and he was almost positive the three would meet afterwards to exchange theories and notes. They were a part of the group known around U.A. as the Gossip Gang. Nobody, except for possibly Principal Nedzu, knew how many members there were or how they got their information. There was not even concrete proof the group existed at all. The speed with which certain rumours, however, such as Midoriya being All Might's secret love child and Snipe loving kid's cartoons spread across campus suggested they had to exist and be wide-spread. The news of his interview would spread like wildfire after class was over.
With this in mind, he decided to hand out an extra special assignment.
"The press will be a large part of your future career as a hero. It makes sense that you should see how to deal with them. I want you to watch my interview on Mustafu Times' 6pm show as an example of that. Tomorrow, there will be a quiz and I expect all of you to answer the questions correctly," Shouta said.
He watched as the students sat up straight, their eyes bright with interest. Only Midoriya had ever seemed this excited about an assignment before.
As Shouta shut the door to the classroom behind him, he couldn't stop a small smirk from forming. They would watch as he and Emi straightened this mess out and the rumours of their "romance" would die an instant death.
Shouta headed for the dorms. He had a few hours before he needed to be in the studio. Napping in his sleeping bag wouldn't be possible without messing his hair up, but there was a particularly comfortable chair in the_
His phone rang. Shouta pulled it out of his pocket and looked at the caller I.D. which showed Ms. Trouble, his latest nickname for Emi.
Frowning, he answered it.
A moment of silence and then a gruff voice spoke. "This Eraserhead's phone."
"Maybe," Shouta said warily.
"We got ya girl here. If you want her back, you'd better come here alone with a bag full of Trigger."
Trigger was that new quirk boosting drug small time villains were becoming addicted to. He'd been busting more and more dealers with it on his patrols. Was this guy one of the customers? Not that it mattered. What mattered was that he had Emi's phone.
